Apparently, it's the girl at the end of DOA5 story mode but initially I thought it was some clone of Kasumi. So, it's going to be interesting to see who it is.

Whoa wait... when did they say it was the girl in 5's ending? She looks exactly like Kasumi though?

Remember Bayman was looking for the one who gave him his scar which was the hooded person in the beginning. I thought this was their way of showing it was the Kasumi clone which is why Bayman was going after her.

I guess it is the Kasumi clone if what people are claiming (TN saying clip with woman at end is new character) is true. If it really is her I think it's very disappointing (and no...a hairstyle change and slightly altered fighting style doesn't qualify as a new character).

Come on TN you can do better.... :(

Kasumi Alpha? Seriously? Greeeeaat. More jailbait voices in Japanese. Don't tell me that she plays exactly like how she was in 2 and Dimensions? TN has a fetish for giving Kasumi conjoined triplets (as if Bass/Strong, Lisa/Lamar and Hayate/Ein conjoined twins aren't enough).

Honestly though, couldn't she just pass up as a costume for Kasumi than a whole new character? It's not like she had a lot of outfits to begin with. All of them are simply recolors of her pink ninja shozoku.

Who knows though this might be sucky right now but good in the long run if TN continues to follow this trend. The character/stage lineup could be Kasumi Alpha (stage DOA2 lab or demon church) - Tengu (miyama) - Genra (hellfire)

Just for clarification, the tweet says the "woman shown in the ending". "Ending" as it was written typically refers to the credits for a given item. One can only assume that they mean the Arcade's credits...which is just the story mode credits.

So, unless Miyako was somewhere in that amalgam of pictures that was used, they likely just mean the clone in the hood.

I would actually love it if they turned it into a dimensions 2. lol Plus it would add variety (assuming Tengu and Genra are in the mix). Alpha not so much but I would accept her if it meant the other 2 were included.

Kasumi Alpha is better off as a costume than a character. It doesn't make sense because she underwent a transformation to become Alpha-152 and if that cloaked woman was P4A152 (Phase 4 Alpha-152 = the mimic boss you faced in the final chapter of true Kasumi's story), it would simply make the regular Alpha-152 redundant to begin with and should have entirely replaced her.

Whether it's Kasumi Alpha or P4A152, it really looks like a redundant entry no matter how you look at it.

I'm not so pessimistic about that "new character". If it's kasumi's clone final forme, well, at least she fit more in the story than Tengu would, and if they do something cool in term of gameplay, it can turn out to be a very nice add.
I also think that she should have been in the game since the beginning at alfa's place.
On the other hand, we don't know "what" that clone really is excepted that she look like kazumi. I thought TN saved it for DOA6, but now that she may surface in 5U, we will need informations about her so there might be a new part of the story available (not to mention MR which we know nothing about).

The only thing i really hope is that it's not just the "usual" Kasumi alfa... That would be kinda boring.

(i still hope for a VD "classy" DLC pack next week ^^!)

How does Kasumi Alpha fits the story if she was already transformed into Alpha-152 long before DOA5 started? Why expect a clone to have many costumes? Alpha-152 had 4. If that ever was Kasumi Alpha, at most she would have 3 costumes in which 2 of them is a recolor of her default (as it was in Dimensions).

Again, it's redundant. Kasumi Alpha is better off as Kasumi's costume than to become a character.

This new character is not Kasumi Alpha (died with the death of Alpha 152), rather the girl seen at the end of the DoA5 story.

By the way, we know that this is a creation of Donovan but I'm not so sure about it having the same appearence of Kasumi... otherwise why to keep her face shrouded in the mistery?

In the past fans have already speculated that she could end to be a mix of kasumi and Ayane in her facial design, and a JP twitter also posted a curious comparison with the same Ayame:

Personally I always been curious to know more about her considering that last shot that show a tear on her face (for being forced to kill or for other reasons?). While Alpha 152 can't be too much interesting (she is a sort of automaton programmed to kill, something that give to her a cool feeling but for me everything end with it), this character owning an human side could end to be pretty interesting just like Kasumi Alpha getting an original baby personality (anyway different from the sadistic-crazy one implied in her only cutscene in the original DOA2).

About her moveset, some people said that she could end to get a mixture of the 4 ninja moveset like showned in the boss of DoA5 (that again wasn't the same kind of clone). I wouldn't like too much this occurrence (in this case I would prefer rather to get back Raidou) however there are the chances for something similar.

That's what I was talking about earlier... Phase 4 Alpha.
