Well yeah but her recent design is closer to that baby concept than any of her previous KOF designs.

Its also why most people hated her xiii design, because it was so moe and different from her other kof designs.

Since I'm the only guy that liked Maximum Impact, MI2 Athena is pretty much my fave, other that super short hair 2001 Athena. I like short hair lol

I like 3D version of her better, her hair isn't long as I'd like but I'd make it work XD. Her costume was also pretty intricate

Back in the days, I really hated her 2001 haircut. But since then, I've developed a taste for short hair, even boyish short hair, and I gotta say... That short hair still bother me. I think it's the fringe, too short af.

Speaking of short hair, I just noticed that about half of KOF female characters have short hair. I mean, the series got them awesome badass waifus and then on top of that, I just found out half of them got short hair. Wow, no wonder KOF got them best waifus.

But yeah... Shame on me lol.

I like boyish hair on certain females too, but Athena honestly is not one of them. It looked weird on her, although her '99 hair looked great on her and that's neck length.

Lots and lots of pallete swaps. Infact SNK where prone to giving fans "The colour wheel" back in the day so you could do your own colours and stuff. don't remember many alternate costumes from SNK but then i haven't played one of their games in years.

from what i can remember though, lots and lots of palette swaps to unlock.

They used alternate costumes and pallette swaps in the Maximum Impact series, but for the rest just pallette swaps.

That makes since, they did make the 3D jump after all so it could have been easier to just whip up new alts.

Alternate costumes for 2D fighters back in the day were practically non existent anyway, must have been really hard to pull off, not like i would know but since nobody ever did it, i came to that conclusion.

Any "Alternate" versions of characters use to take up character slots so for example-

Shin Akuma and Akuma, Rugal and God Rugal, Iori and Evil Iori would all be seperate characters. Even then those versions where practically pallete swaps, lol.

I did specifically say "Old" SNK games, those are from the latest game on PS3 (Not counting the new one for PS4)

Oh man, Ninon was great to show up in Maximum Impact 2. Much more cooler than her sister Mignon. Too bad SNK has a dislike for MI series, and the team making 14 is mostly guys that were involved in KoF 2000 or earlier

That Athena looks more ike she's recovering from chemotherapy rather than an actual short haircut. Like the hair grew back in uneven patches.


Also I liked that one other girl um...disciple of Kim but not the Kamen Rider wanna be superhero girl.

Here she is. She had a bunch of short hair options and I loved em all.

She's attractive, that's for sure! I love her hair in the third image, I have a weakness for short hair with long side or nape braids hidden in the layers.

Also, it's doubtful that any Maximum Impact characters like Chae Lim will make it in.

Also, if the leaked roster is correct, all we're getting for the new Korea Team are Kim's master and his wife.
