You know what? Fuck this shit.

We need a third option called "Yes, as long as certain moves are reasonably adjusted and the players themselves get a mental adaptation patch to reduce the amount of complaining bugs and increase the desire to explore new tech for seemingly non-viable characters."

Yea I'm not adding that option.

Actually I would say "no" to the glitch. I feel too much guaranteed damage can eff up the game. Especially with how doa is designed. If everyone can do brain dead sh** like Jann Lee pre patch that would be one boring game. TN did a good job without the glitch.

All that accomplishes is letting you play the "fun" game while I play the "boring" game on the same TV at the same time. Only I'll be winning, because my boring stuff does way more damage than your fun stuff. And ironically I'll be having more fun than you, because I'll be the one winning.

Is that honestly how you want it? Because that's how you're going to get it.

That's not really what I was saying although I get how got that. I'm not saying don't give every character more guaranteed damage, either but with the way doa5 is now this may not be the way to do it not without retweeking other things. It seem like it will create other issues all over again.

Should I break off into my epic speech about how people who get scared of big damage in fighting games are actually just really emotionally insecure about failure in real life? Naaah, maybe another time...

But hey, seriously. Weve had months to figure out combos for people who refuse to stagger. The only overkill weve found is on the home stage as far as im aware, and it cant be staggered anyway. At this point, why screw yourself over a fear that has bore no fruit for months?

I voted yes. I generally tend to set up my stuns to screw over people that like to SE making their only option to escape holding. I would like to see a buff to some sitdown stuns because some of them are ridiculous. I should get rewarded for landing Hitomi's 8K instead all I get is a poke to extend stun. I guessed right and I don't even get a launcher as a reward if the threshold has been reached.

I also think players should not get many chances to guess randomly. They should have to watch the opponents setups and make educated guesses AKA reading the opponent. They should pay attention and watch for when the opponent tends to use thier guaranteed stun.

I can live with that.

But hey, seriously. PM that speech.

What is the connection of fighting games and insecurance in real life :????

Anyway: Thats how the game must be to be fun and balance. After sit down stun u must have time only for a small launch or small damage end up.( like it was before) The way it is now is like i play tekken. And i quit playing tekken only because of the 2 combo win. Now DOA = Tekken. No thanks!!! Hope they will fix this shit fast

You die in two combos in Tekken if you either really screw up or you're not familiar with what the opponent can do.

In DOA5.02, a handful of characters could two-combo you, too. While I don't have the PS3 version, it sounds like now, other characters can get in on the 50% train.

all characters have 50% combo before but all was unguaranteed.
And now 1 mistake and u lose 50% or more. Okey they will fix it i hope

If people who are in favour of this glitch want to convince the rest of us otherwise why not post some videos demonstrating how this glitch helps game play.

I for one would like to see how this change helps Helena and also see if it makes characters like Jann Lee and Lei Fang more bullshit than they are currently.

You people don't know the first thing about Tekken. I'm tired of hearing that shit. "Do this and it becomes Tekken!!!!" None of you fuckers even know how to play Tekken on even an intermediate level so how can you make such comparisons when you make such blanket statements like this? Hell, most of you don't even understand DoA even at the basic level.

So seriously, stop with the "Tekken" BS. You don't know what you're talking about.

I agree: now that is also available for almost everyone upload the videos online, why don't make specific videos to understand better the differences in the gameplay?

I'd just say "Stop with the Tekken bullshit, this isn't Tekken."
Personally if I wanted to play Tekken I would go play Tekken... Same way if I want to shoot people with guns in FPS I don't complain at Blizzard to change WoW.

Remember how you were bitching about Helena lacking guaranteed set ups off her sitdowns and how it was unfair other characters had them and that TN was being a bunch of meanie poopy heads to her? Well she has guaranteed sitdowns now. She can play with the big boys.

Characters that can already do this will mostly be unaffected overall. With or without this patch they'll have guaranteed stuns, it's the rest of the characters now that can do this as well.
