TLDR: person used a sleeping app that records night noises. One day they check out the recording and notice voices that are not theirs. Posts on reddit/r/Ghosts thinking its ghosts. Redditors deduce its actually a robber next to her stealing stuff while she is asleep.

I'm willing to bet that it was an asshole that she knew that broke into her house too. That doesn't really scare me at all to be honest.

The only thing scary is, that she was actually believing for some time, this was a ghost on the recording and not just a burglar. XD I listened to the tape, expecting some scary ghost-like noises...and it was really just the sound of someone going through stuff and a usual man's voice uttering a few words.

There was a similar story on Neogaf a while ago. It was guy, who lived alone in an apartment, that came home one day and found weird splatters of some kind on the kitchen wall. He too freaked out and believed, it must have been a ghost. It didn't even cross his mind, that it were actually the landlord's kids, that were secretely using his kitchen, when he was away at work... >__>'
