"Nothing is as frustrating as arguing with someone who knows what he's talking about."
Sam Ewing

Once upon a time I used to argue with people on this site with a very regular frequency. I’d huff, puff, snarl, growl and write a whole lot of mean, cool sounding stuff to try and get my point across. In retrospect it often amounted to foolishness because, at times, I found myself debating arguments without a complete view of the situation. Leading this week’s top 5 forum threads is one, authored by Grap3fruitman, that devolved into such inanity.
I get it: “Why are we promoting this?”, “Why is this news worthy?”, “These kinds of breakdowns are nothing new here.”
That’s the point, “It’s nothing new.” We’ve been doing this same song and dance for years on end, so at some point we’d hope that hindsight would help inform our conversational decorum. All I’m asking is that we all be a little more thoughtful about the things we post and the way we treat each other. Before you hit that send button, do a little introspection and think about the consequences of what you’re about to say. . .maybe you're wrong, maybe you're right but THINK before you REGRET.
Personal attacks, baseless character assassination, nonconstructive criticism – let’s ball all of these up, shine em’ up real nice, turn them sombitches sideways and NOT . . . .stick them up each others candy asses.
