What's With The Controls?

I just got my copy of DOA5 and I am immediately having issues with what seems like miss read inputs. I am inputting 33P4P and I am getting 33PP, I input 66P and I get 6P. I have never had these problems before, I can barely get any of my DOA4 combo's to work right now.

I use the 360 pad analog stick. Any help would be appreciated, I don't know why the controls for DOA5 seem so off in comparison to DOA4.

You have to be a little more percise with controls in this one, from my experience.

Glad I'm not the only one. DOA5 the input has to be done slower, you can't mash a combo out and have it work. Now you have to wait for the move to connect before inputting the next move. Big problem with Kasumi. Really takes some time to get used too. But for me it's not the direction it's the attack buttons that are harder.

I have been having the same problem as well, I'm glad to see I'm not alone. At first I thought it was just my controller, but after switching a few out I've decided it's definitely a change in the game. It was driving me crazy while playing around with Akira, I can't get his stupid elbow to come out consistently at all.

It was bugging me so bad I actually booted up VF5 for comparison. Turned on input display and was able to hit 66p or 666p as frequently as I wanted. In DOA however, I keep getting inputs that look something like 36p or 363p or just 6p. Very annoying. I've found it's more forgiving on a stick, but I prefer DOA w/ a pad.
