Who are you currently maining and who have you mained in the past?

I played :tina: for quite a while and had :mila: as a very good back up.
But I think I'l be going with :La Mariposa: as my main just as long as I was with Tina, if not longer.
I'm also going to have :sarah: and maybe one of the Ninjas as my Back Up, The likely candidate is :ayane:.

Special mentions to :alpha152: and :momiji: for helping me with my Footsies and Spacing training.

LoL.... I should probably throw a dude in here before this gets weird.... :hayabusa:.... There we go. :oops:

Edit: NOPE.... I'm not ready to sub a Ninja just yet... so :ayane: is going back in drawer....... This handsome fella will take her place :bradwong:..... for now.

Edit 2: Theres actually a pattern to my Character Choices, My previous Team was :tina:and :mila: and :rachel: for a short while. This was my Grappling Team and they specialise in Offensive Holds.
My current Team:La Mariposa: and :sarah: and :bradwong: who is currently under review. This is my "Stance Cancelling" Team, I choose them specifically because of their stances and cancelling into them granting Frame Advantage.... as you can see thats why Ayane was an original Candidate before Brad Wong. :rig: was also a Candidate for a while for the very same reason and he still might be.... and lets not forget this guy:zack:.

You'l notice that in both Teams theres a Character that can do alil bit of both..... That would Be:mila: and :La Mariposa:.... La Mariposa really helped me bridge the gap to understanding :sarah:.

Perhaps in the Future I'l have a Ninja Team, assuming I can find a common mechanic among them like I have with my other Teams.

This game really opens up when you stopping choosing your characters by how pretty they are. :oops:

After seeing DOA2 and DOA3 so many years ago, I played :leifang: :kasumi: :jannlee: and a little bit of :Christie: on DOA3.
... Got older. Played DOA periodically at arcades or other people's houses without owning the game.
Played the same characters on DOA4.
DOA5 comes out. I started figuring things out with :mila:

I currently play :pai:

But, my team of Dark Heroes/Heroin's include...
:mila: :helena: :hayabusa: :nyotengu: :jacky: and :kasumi:

Possible candidates:
:bayman: :leon: :rachel: :christie:

But the fact that I have 3 mains and 2 subs atm doesn't mean I'm good with them. Still learning all of these 7 characters. It's just that I enjoy playing Rachel, Christie and Lisa the most. =P

Keep in mind that I put Hitomi and Phase 4 as "subs" just because I've a knowledge of them very slighty more than basic and I'm able to play them realizing what I'm doing. Actually it would be more correct to put them in the "learning" category, but for such reason I wanted just make a distinction from the rest. Also I had already started to learn Momiji and Marie Rose but currently I abandoned them because it was useless to learn so much characters together.

EDIT: Having to mention even my mains of the past - intended as the most used character - for each game in the order that I played them:

DoA3:
:leon: (of course sharing my nationality xD) and with the time I switched to:ayane:(I can't say how I started to use her, this was the outcome of a slow process day by day)

DoA1:
:raidou: & :bass: (for strange reasons I wasn't ever too much fond to use DoA1's Ayane. In general I like to use grapplers and slow characters in DoA1, maybe for the danger zone mechanic and the not analogic controls)

DoA2U:
:ayane:& :tengu: (however I never learned how to play properly with Bankotsubo)

DoA4:
:ayane: and I discovered the fun of maining:ein: toward the end of game's life

:jacky: Not as much effort has went into him as much as Raidou, but he seems fun enough to actually try to learn. Besides, he's another VF character ^_^
:marierose: The first person I was looking at for finding a new main. She eventually became a lost cause XD

I main Hitomi right now. I used to main Kasumi, but... She got really tricky and overly complicated and I was losing EVERY fight with her as soon as I hit C-, and well... The rest is history. I am sitting at a high C with Hitomi right now, and am about to jump to C+ in a few matches.

Im thinking about learning a guy but I really dislike most of them. The only one I like is Eliot but he's really hard to learn.

Just keep playing him for a while. It becomes muscle memory eventually. What I mean is that if you play a character for a while you won't forget stuff anymore.

I play Leon like 80% of the time, but I also play others from time to time.
My main problem is, I pick Leon, I get easy wins, and then I pick another character, and I got my ass kicked, so I return to Leon.
I used to play a lot of Hayate, but I dropped him because I don't like the change from DOA4 to DOA5.
I'm also learning Helena, she has been always my fav female in the series so I decided to it was the time to start using her properly.
