Will the Nioh Collab Greet XBOX (Wo Long Road Map)

Team NINJA has become more communicative with their future 2023 plans pertaining to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's Road Map and plans to release steady content updates each and every month, but one thing that is on everyone's mind would be the free Nioh collaboration. Sure, it could just be a simple costume for your character and maybe a skin of William to boot, but if this update comes to the XBOX, it points to the idea of the first two games in a compilation bundle or future games coming to XBOX as well.

For what feels like years, people have been begging for XBOX ports of Nioh & Nioh 2 - and rightfully so because regardless of if you like the games or not they have been critically acclaimed hits with huge followings of people that still actively play both titles today. Sadly, both titles were published by Sony worldwide and Koei Tecmo took care of publishing rights in Japan. Though if Team NINJA were to repackage the games into a compilation, they could be published by Koei Tecmo on XBOX for worldwide distribution considering that Sony does NOT own the Nioh franchise. With older games like Final Fantasy XIV coming to XBOX Nioh isn't as out of the question on XBOX as gaming media would have you believe.

Now if the Nioh collaboration does not come to XBOX, it would show that there are still problems between Microsoft and Koei Tecmo despite the nationwide success of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on XBOX Day 1 Game Pass. The community worked hard to make sure that Dead or Alive was multiplatform and these last few financial quarters shows that Koei Tecmo needs to build an even stronger relationship with Microsoft. Nioh, Atelier Sagas, Nobunaga's Ambition, Fate/Samurai Remnant are missing for absolutely no reason at all.

We know that Rise of the Ronin is PS timed-exclusive, and I don't anyone that's happy about that, but there is nothing that can be done about it since Sony has had this game in writing for over seven years of development time now.

Koei Tecmo has been releasing outstanding games and content, but they need to do a better job of satisfying their entire customer base by expanding into every ecosystem and keeping it that way to prevent customer confusion. Whether or not Nioh ends up on XBOX or if this collaboration ends up on XBOX is unknown but will be extremely foretelling.
