Exactly. I have only been into fighting games for 1 year now. I think I have managed to go from Zero to Intermediate (or lower intermediate). Let's see if this year I can convince my wife to go on some trip to an European city with a fighting game tournament on the side LOL.

"Everyone, sorry to keep you waiting this long. The fix to the current PS3 patch 1.03 in regards to the stagger escape glitch, 1.03A, is planned to be available worldwide on Feb. 12."

Both versions are expected to release on the 12th of February, but due to QA the 360 version may take longer.

The tweet also pretty much confirms that they are fixing the recovery glitch and not just altering it which is a shame. You guys got a week left, enjoy the glitch while you can.

So the only thing to look forward to in the end is a better online and system/character changes...I wonder why team ninja asked competitive players for their input in the development process. I'm beginning to think their purpose was to have competitive players find the things they needed to take out of the game...

How certain are you that the glitch has been removed? I just want to make sure before I get my hopes up.

皆様、大変お待たせしております。現在配信中のPS3版「ver1.03」で発生している「よろけ回復」における不具合に対応した「ver1.03A」のアップデートが2月12日に全世界で配信できる見込みとなりました

They said it is for the recovery glitch.

So they mention the stagger escape glitch but don't say anything about what they did about it? That is very strange/stupid.
I didn't expect them to mention the glitch but not say what they did about it, that is why I thought something had been missed, turns out TN are just plain stupid.
