You all need to make sure you understand what is going on before asking Team Ninja for nerfs/buffs.

Hayate is faster, can actually poke, and his crushes work better. What's a better gimmick? Ninpo can be stopped by 2p no matter what, and izuna holds are just holds.

You're right, though, they're both really stupid.

Nope. Stops that, too.

Correction: It stops it in open stance (It makes it completely whiff). Silly hitboxes are silly.

If I had to pick between the 2, it would be Hayate. While Busa is still competent, he's very predictable & working harder than what he is. His teleports are somewhat useless in DOA5. They can easily be stopped & sidestepped at the least. Hayate beats Busa in speed & poking department. His jabs are beating Busa's to the punch. His stun game is crazy. In order for Ryu to play, he has to play in a fist fight. As far as range goes, Busa beats Hayate, but again, Hayate just don't care for his teleport punches & kicks or his telport grab. He's left open after that. Busa is working hard for his W's in this 1.
PPL won't listen to what I'm saying though lol

Fixed.

Man it sucks being old. I feel like I'm the only person who remembers DOA as it was, sometimes. Everyone assumes the game started out so super stun heavy and counter-tastic, with garbage frames on everything when that shit only started with DOA 4.

I heard a rumor that stuns used to only last about 2 hits max and you could get max height without stunning someone 9 times first!

Not really that much better. Safer doesn't really matter if you're already unsafe. Let's see... 6kp, 9p 4pp, 3k. Yeah, not all that relevant. At least Busa has his Izuna counters as well.

Saying everything he has would imply that a lot he had was better, busa has better counters and a better throw game, range is the same and they are both so grossly unsafe that it's irrelevant who is more unsafe (though Busa has 3F+K which is a tracking guard break which gives him advantage, better than any ranged attack Hayate has outside of his abysmally slow charge guard breaks which give him a whopping +1).

I suppose you could say Hayate is better simply because of his speed though. When you've got little else but gimmicks, speed is nice to have. At least Busa has better gimmicks.
Better holds you mean? Well that's fine, Busa has at least one decent thing.
I cannot believe you said Busa has a better throw game.... Hayate literally has grappler frame throws. Considering the fact that Busa is so much more unsafe, Hayate can literally throw him after every blocked string.
Range isn't really an issue because Hayate's 3H+K is so much better than most of the shit Hayabusa has and his wind dash actually is a great tool for punishing whiffs. I just don't see how you can see Busa as a better character in DOA5. It's one thing if you are trying to say Hayate isn't that great. But Busa by far is much more terrible.

Theres one thing I want TN to buff is Kasumi's :3::3::F::+::P: and :3::P::+::K:,:F::+::P: (it needs to be a OH throw again) Leifang and Jann Lee has OH throws, why not Kasumi? :(

At least he's still viable though. Hayate is competitively unplayable at this point. At this point I believe he's gotten hit with the nerf bat harder than anyone else in the series. Originally I thought Helena got nerfed like that with him but after discovering her insane force tech game she's viable on that alone.

You can play him now when the game is new and everyone is still adjusting, or online when you can't react to half as much as you would normally. But play against someone who knows what's unsafe, when to attack, etc. You'll be lucky to get a round. He needs to go back to DOA3.1 status or at least DOA4 status.

If we were buffing characters, the ones I think would need them (not including VF characters) are Hayate, Zack and Lisa. Brad is turning out to be a pretty viable character. Ryu and Tina dispite their shortcomings are still competitively viable from their throw game alone.

Then there's Helena last... though It would be a nerf sadly. Give her safety, a little more speed and a little more damage but take away the ridiculous force tech and she still wouldn't be as good as she is now with it.
Aww but I like Hayate! Lisa and brad their already confusing as it is they ok where they are lol.
