First discovered by @pachincko this seems likely to be our new Tengu shown in Famitsu. More details are bound to show up incredibly soon and we will keep this updated. She looks pretty, and I hope that Tengu fans will be impressed by the final package, because Tengu fans have waited a long time for this.

It's not confirmed until TN specifically states it, but that seems to be entirely plausible.

 

I thought fans of games would be supportive of each other but I guess I was wrong.

Tengu might be someone that you didn't like or didn't play but he was character in series and replacing him with someone else doesn't feel void in heart of true fan.(feels a void somewhere else)

Female Tengu looks like human with wings and the original Tengu had his oddball looks and poetic nature.

Everyone once said that Ein would never make it in as someone with similar style as Hitomi and that Hayate had his memories back but he still appeared.

DLC has become a thing now and various characters have appeared. Tengu still has a chance to make it in , just gotta be hopeful that he could potentially be one of them.

Say to Team Ninja while Female Tengu is nice , it would be nice for Male Tengu to be in.He could totally be fanservice and sell , just needs to be ripped from hitting the gym in his return....

I'm not saying that and I really wouldn't of minded the old tengu coming back into the game and still would of bought him and see what he could of done but i'm just saying you really need to throw the concept of bank being "fanservice" out the window.

 

Guys, there's a reason it's a DOA5UA trailer. She's coming to arcades only for now. At the same time that the Arcade gets patched to include her, the console (home) versions get the same patch with Phase-4.

If those patches are balance patch, dunno.

So Phase-4 for consoles; Nyo-Tengu for Arcade.

 

just got down seeing the trailer, and I can understand why a lot of people are upset. I felt the same way when Taki was replace with Naruto chick version in SC5. But honestly I can't wait to play her. I will miss Tengu, but she seems like a awesome replacement.

Hey you never know....they could go all out from the back lash and make original tengu as a character also or alt outfit with his character model ,outfit, and voice but that's a kinda outside the box thing to think.

While I am really upset for the sake of the Tengu fans that it's not Bankotsubo, I'm seriously hyped! I love what they did with Tengu's playstyle and throws (dat 2T) and I am sure I will have a blast with Female Tengu even though I couldn't really get into Tengu in the past.

 

I just want to see hi-counter 2T on ceilings. Watch Home become a very dangerous stage with Tengu. People would stop holding low for the same reason they don't hold high/mid against Alpha.

Seriously, the character would have a good fighting chance/dominate in tight spaces. Now, it all depends whether they'd change throw speeds making this a grappler or just making her throw speed average but giving her loads of damage like Rachel.

Another thing is her frame advantage on block and natural combos and frame traps from 2U.

All these combined, this character could become Metal Zangief with jetpacks, avoiding wakeup situations left and right. That's one reason Tengu had three s, because he could just avoid that shit or just jump over things and not care.

I'm kind of starting to see why so many people liked Tengu because he was a unique power house character with a creative, but short moveset. The power moves may look awkward to some people on a female character, but I honestly don't care about the shell that holds the moves at this point.

The things I don't like right now is the whole air-focused combos and new move-sets in the air (not saying that it seems to be the main focus here yet). We already have Momiji for that, so let's not make this 3D Guilty Gear. GG does that better than any other game.

 

I don't think it's air-focused, but even if it is, (s)he is a damn flying Tengu xD of course they'll focus on aerial maneuvers.
