I'm not mad at Team Ninja, it was a farewell, and they were decent to do that, and i'm too attached to DOA as a series to let that get to me, but...

Why make that something special, why announce as something we should look foward to, why make a surprise?

They should have said something in their FB page like: "We will also give the game the last farewell or something".

It was in general just a bad move.

And honestly, the way it was phrased, makes me think that DOA 6 is not even on their current or next projects...

yeah, I don't think it is in all honesty. Like we knew DOA5 was done, but the way Shimbori seemed sad talking about this in the video made it seemed that DOA is gonna be gone for a whileeeeee-a-while.

I'm literally upset right now because I wasn't expecting TN to fuck me over like this, I've been always positive about DOA, tried to convince people to play this game, bought DLC and bought the game on 2 different consoles, and this is how they repay me ? By giving me a thank you and saying the game is ending which they already stated in September ? I've always been positive about DOA and TN but they can sincerely go fuck themselves for hyping everybody up and even tweeting that there's a freaking announcement and then come with an announcement that already was already obvious, don't they understand that we were all hoping for 6 because we knew DOA5 was ending ? Seriously fuck it for the moment I'm glad I'm on a hiatus from DOA if I wasn't this definitely would've made go on a hiatus.

Damn I knew the announcement was never going to live up to the hype but literally announcing that your done with the current iteration of your series with no hint or reassurance of its future is pretty damn morbid. Definitely confirms no new DOA title this console gen at the very least. Guess KT has too many other projects and ventures that are more important to them and are shelving DOA for the foreseeable future

I don’t get the confusion, but don’t worry about it.

Still wish they’d give a reason to why they’d throw the game away though. Kind of a slap in the face to tell fans that without reason.

Would’ve been better had they just silently distanced themselves away from the series than to hype an announcement just to say it’s done for now, just so when the PS7 and Xbox AI Robot comes out they can say they’re back.

I'm kind of disgusted at them to be honest. They know they have an international audience and people were staying up on a Sunday night to watch it, and they say sorry but that game you love, we're killing it here and now. The video of the deceased player was highly disrespectful to the player themselves and the community. It felt afterwards like it was a "you can't get mad at us" tactic and also were gonna leave you in the lurches by not giving you a straight forward answer. I'm not mad about no DOA6, I'm mad I was suckered into watching a video that said your favourite fighting game series is done, so... Deal with it!

I'm going to have to assume "announcement" has little bearing on the Japanese DOA community, but has to effectively end this game elsewhere.
Will be interesting to see if Big E events continue to hold DOA as any type of side game, and the turnout they will get without direct support from TN(?).
