by the way, a few general notes for the thread - first, there's no battlefield arcadia tournament this week (oct. 25th). tournaments will resume next week (nov. 1st). second, i just talked to the guy who runs 8 bit and up (http://www.getreadytogame.com/) and he told me that they can host doa casuals. the venue's in manhattan, it costs $5 per hour per person, and you need to bring your own controllers/hard drives. team spooky has streamed tournaments there, so it's safe to assume that it's legit.

so now, we have 3 public venues in the city that you can play casuals at:

Sup guys. Im a complete beginner at this game but I'd like to get involved offline. I'm free on Fridays and Saturdays. Sundays depends on my mood and whether I have schoolwork to take care of. I'm in the bronx so it should be easy for me to get to the specified locations.

How do casuals work? I just show up at one of the spots with money and a controller and I'm good to go for DOA? Or does someone have to supply like a system or game too?
