Xianghua, Kilik and Maxi were the main character trio of SC1. So we know these are all in 100%. Only Maxi is still missing out of these three.
In SC5 Maxi was my main, because Talim, Yunseong and Kilik (in his usual form) were all missing. I guess it'll be a bit exciting to see him return next.I always liked his look. 16th century Elvis, lol. I wonder how he'll look in this. Well, we already know they'll just reuse his SC4/SC5 face and hair but I'm interested to see what kind of costume he'll wear. This was his original SC1 costume...
Let's see how they bring this one up to date...
I mean who knows, Ivy and the other ones at least were updated more in terms of body, face and hair even If Sophitia wasn't as much, So It's possible that Maxi could receive more of an update in terms of looks. And there's still the 2p's that we haven't seen that could be changed more. But yeah It will be interesting to see who gets revealed next.
I'm expecting Taki and Maxi but In terms of who I'm hoping for I'd really like to see Cassandra and Setsuka also get into the game just off the top of my mind. Talim will be in for sure too, Not sure about Amy though since she would be so young.
There's also the possibility of new characters too, There's still apparently that new characters father to get revealed, There seems to be no word on any potential new female character for this game but maybe they're keeping that really secret, I'd like at least one new female character for the game.

Lol really? I know Ivy's body is new but Ivy's face looks different to me as well though? Maybe I'd need to see them side by side? Although okay lol Zas does look the exact same as in SC4.
Just expect a slightly edited variant of his SC3/SC5 costume design. Just because it's literally the most "up-to-date" version of this costume.

Ivy seeming got a new face, kept the same hair, and new body. I don't know if its just reduction of the makeup or whatever, but that face is definitely not like the SC4 or SC5 one.
Kilik everything is the same.
Sophitia everything is the same but got a "new" (New meaning breast growth) body it seems.
Mitsurugi got redone, we can see that (chimon bruuuu)
Xianghua is definitely the same.
Zasalamel is definitely the same too.
I don't know what to say about Nightmare/Siegfried bc he looks too different design-wise.
At the very least, I can't fault Bamco for reusing models because SC has always been ahead of its time graphically.

(And by the way, SC4/SC5 were not ahead of other games character model-wise in the PS3/360 era. DOA4 and DOA5 were however with up to 90k polygons per character.)
Because people are so undemanding and are even coming up with excuses for Bandai Namco themselves, BN keeps on doing lazy, cheap stuff like this. Even after Tekken 7. Hardly anyone complained about reused and low polygon models there as well.

Yeah..there really isn't any excuse for reusing models from so long ago in a way like this. One of the things that was exciting for SC6 was seeing how characters that we hadn't seen since SC4 etc on Xbox 360 would be updated to look now so its pretty disappointing to see Namcos laziness with not working on them at all.
I will agree though I definitely feel like with Ivy at least they've updated her face as well as her body. Maybe its the lack of makeup but it looks different. However sadly characters like Xianghua have had no changes and it seems to literally just be their unchanged model from SC4 which released 10 years ago now which is crazy.

Basically follows the key I used in SC5 when making characters, if I wanted to make them older I'd put really heavy dark makeup on them to make them look older. ( that and also that really stern face you could choose. )
But yeah the things they've done to her makes her look younger.
What also helps is the advanced, softer lighting and subsurface scattering (though I am not sure that will be present on consoles, it isn't in Tekken 7 on consoles), which makes the faces appear much softer and glowier. Similarly to what the "Soft Engine" (which is nothing else but subsurface scattering plus improved breast physics) did to DOA5LR's models.
I can't lie, T7 looks like dogshit on console, but I do feel like it looks like it's in the right gen when you play it with max settings 1080p60 on PC.
But realistically, Bamco gives garbage budgets for the current fighting games so I could see why they may "have" to reuse. Then again they should also realistically be making shit from scratch as SCV was released almost 7 years ago. Corner-cutting is never the best thing, it's trash in fact. SC6 currently looks like it could be on PS3 and run at like 30fps with concurrent frame-drops. And that's just from viewing it in compressed video form. The bonus of it being on PS4 is that it can run at "1080p"60 - and it probably won't even be 1080p on console. If I ever get to play it I can properly judge it.

SC6 isn't...great looking for the time it's coming out but It still looks nice, More so depending on who is fighting, Like Ivy and Nightmare look good but then Xianghua and the new guy less so.

Nah, SC3 came out in 2005. The same year as DOA4. The game looked garbage in comparison.
However, I agree with SC4 actually being very good for its time graphically. Releasing in 2008 and looking like a game that would release in like 2010/11 was actually pretty sick. SC5 was good, but it graphically just looked just as good as any other game that released in 2012.
SC6 is just standard for this generation. Graphically it's meh, but the gameplay looks very promising.

Soul Calibur VI's modelings look decent, but the lighting looks unappealing. It's not as radiant as SCIV and SCV. I don't like the sound effects either. I like SCV sound effects more. SCIV had nice sound effects too. I hope it will change in time before its release, because I'm still buying this game. I'm just glad the mechanics are back to the way it was in the previous SC games before SCV. Some of them at least like the Guard Impact no longer requiring meter. I still yet have to analyze the others when I get the game.
I could go into more detail, but the gist of it is that the textures are bad, the models are out of proportion, fucking everything is shiny, the clothing/armor system makes outfits too thick like they're "floating" around the character rather than actually being worn and hair looks like perpetually wet paper. Admittedly, art direction matters far more to me than actual tech capacity, but SCIV wasn't doing anything impressive in either respect.
Well, they reduced the bloom. Which, in my opinion, is pretty much the only good decision they've made thus far, aside from Nightmare being a proper knight again.
