Not really hate mail related but i will share this here anyway.
I go into a lobby with just one other player (the host obviously) we had about 12 fights, i won the first 11 and he won the last fight, and then he leaves as if he only wanted to beat me once. After that last fight he sends me a message saying "You suck, how does losing feel?" as if to say he was the better fighter because he won last. Anyone had this happen to them before? It's like they will continue fighting you until they beat you and then claim that they're the better player.
I.....I just don't even.

I had something similar happen to me in ranked. I fight the same person several times in a row. I win all but the last. He taunts. I send him a message: really?
He answers he taunted because he win against my run away tactics. I hate runaway. The only thing I did was staying away from wake up kicks. Maybe he wanted me to let those get me instead of "running"

I have my moments of being salty at this damn game due to its randomness, but damn this guy takes the cake for saltiness lol.

My god, that's a pretty extreme message to send someone. I think the most annoying abuse i got was about my accent when i was using voice chat, but nothing death threat related like you got here.

When a person loses a team based game, they usually silently mutter to themselves that they only lost because their team sucked and it couldn't be helped. I find this is the primary reason team games/sports are as popular as they are, because it puts gives people a security barrier to guard their personal ego.
When you play anything that focuses on 1v1, however, you remove that emotional security barrier and some people completely lose their shit. People like to think they are more special than they actually are, and when they find out they are not, they... simply put, can't handle it.
This is one such person who cannot emotionally handle the idea that he is not special in the way he wants to be. A violent rejection of that idea is the only course left to him. For us, however, it's just funny.
