I expected the trailer they showed exclusively at Comic Con to be updated to TN's website at some point. So I dunno why anyone is "surprised" or "disappointed" that it's there.

Though in all fairness, the Japanese version at least mentioned the new content and the Japan-only collector's edition by voice announcer. The EU version could've at least shown it in text detail. Either way, we still got a month to go. Anything can happen... even last-minute gameplay tweaks if you strat-savvy bigwigs annoy them enough. =P

The problem is that they threw out the word "new" like they had no grasp of the concept. They knew that the trailer was already in the wind. Whoever was managing social media should've just kept their mouth shut and let it ride.

I get what your saying but people haven't really had decent info since E3 its all just been costume news updates.

I think TN has released most of its stuff and I dunno what else they can show, my hopes for another GOOD stage is falling fast. They may have a surprise in the last month but I aint holding my breath. Most of the updates lately have been to please costume fans.

I disagree..
they could have shown us some Leon instead of 2 airthrows .. we hardly had any info on him.
they could have done a compilation of new moves or character changes ..
they could have done all that in one simple exhibition fight..
or atleast show some combo challenges like they did last year but for the new cast ..

saying something "new" and only releasing a half assed copy paste job is quite annoying ...for crying out loud you can even notice the music cut in the trailer.

I have to say I am annoyed as well.
this is the 2nd week straight where they release the same damn trailer ...

I think its about time we saw something new ... ANYTHING ...
(as long as its not a dumb swim suit demonstration... )

But to be fair ...
we did get alot of snips regarding the game last week ..
still doesnt justify what we got today ... but .. i just thought i would point that out ... since we actually DID get some info .. and I am personally thrilled for the return of classic Survival

Chin was told new content to be shown off today.
Chin posted the "extended" trailer, which was the english version of the comic-con trailer, which was the E3 trailer, and posted 25 images which were all the images from the announcement of doa5u to the e3 images to the DLC pre-order costume images.

The community bitched out Chin for saying new content would be up, when in fact it was old content, and it wasn't Chin's fault.

Chin sent an e-mail to the Team in Japan complaining that the content was old, screencapped it, and shared it. It's the image I displayed in the post you quoted.

Yeah just checked twitter. Chin on a rampage of anger lol, im sure he loves the job but I'm also starting to believe he hates TN fans. Because the whole community is split, and everyone is asking for different things and if one side gets what they want the other side isnt happy and then shit hits the fan and the community managers, devs everyone getsspammed with FAN rage.

Thats why I believe Shinbori also decieded to tell people that his account is private and should direct comments at TNs twitter. When at first he didn't seem bothered. But obviously all this social media gets to people and its making people feel frustrated by the peopels actions.

It's not chins fault for how things are run.

Honestly though Tecmo should sort out each individual part of who does what, Chin is more familiar with the Dynasty warriors game so he should be the spokesperson for that. but he seems to have to do everything. I understand its part of the job but it drives him crazy.

If someone who understanda DOA takes over that section, there could be a possibility of news and tips about characters and stuff that people relate with, basically a Combofiend for TN.

Another reason I say this is cuz I was watching some interview of something where I believe a fan or just some journalist was asking about Tecmo games and asked about Yaiba Ninja Gaiden. Obviously they are not allowed to talk about much, but when she was speaking she kinda didn't really know what to say felt like she didn't know much about the game and kinda just told us like, yeah Ryu Hayabusa. Badass character, new guy out for revenge. Lol, it just feels like some people are not connected with the game's themself.

And when chin got asked about Dynasty Warriros. He gave detailed response.
So yeah I say sort people out for each section of the games so people can handle the fans.
Also it would make the person feel comfortable cuz of their knowledge on the game.

Also to add to the fact that TN had the nerve to pass on those "assets" as if we weren't going to notice it.... Thats like a stomp on the nuts.

It honestly feels like I'm just watching the same footage of Leon over and over again. I can't even tell whether they're doing it because they want to keep some kind of mystery about him, or because they're just lazy. What annoys me more is that the only off-screen footage i've seen of him is of players that don't know anything further than "PPP".

In fact, it just feels like I'm watching the same footage over and over again. I think there were a couple of things in that trailer that I hadn't seen before, but they were such minor cuts that I wouldn't have cared if they'd been left out. I think I would've preferred another gallery of the bikini suits (which I'm sick of) to a repeat trailer with bad editing.

I'm excited for the game, don't get me wrong, but doing stuff like this is only going to make people lose interest in it. I mean, why would people look at it if all they see is the same footage over and over again? As was said earlier, even just putting on an exhibition match between Ein and Leon (i only suggest this because it feels like we've seen less of these two than we have Jacky, Rachel and Momiji), or any of the new characters...

I understand why chin would be annoyed with the Western "fans" and their perpetual negativity.

I also understand that "new" is the antonym of "old," and that promising "new assets" and revealing "old assets" is a bunch of "ass."

They know that advertising him won't sell as many copies as the other chars. They're also probably ashamed that he's basically just a copy-paste job from DOA4.
