To represent Tekken, it has to be a Mishima character, so, nop, by removing their ability to wavedash to fit them on DOA will turn them into... shit, lol.

As much as i love to see Jun Kazama as a guest character, i think it's best that DOA gets it's own characters. Besides, the DOA/VF crossover would be more appropriate.

Hell no. DOA do not need anything else but DOA to excel. At the end of the day it is the player base that shows other communities how good DOA is. Yes there are VF Characters in DOA5, but they prove more that DOA is a Solid fighter. They(VF Characters) have all this "Godly" Frame advantage and move properties that should put all the DOA cast to shame. However, the game is balanced enough so that not only can the DOA cast compete with the VF Guests, but have Dominated the Tournament placements.

But that's just it VirtuaPAI, we've tried showing others how good the game is yet here we are again with DOA not getting the attention it rightfully deserves.

Based on the polls I know most disagree, but I really do think it would bring a lot of (good) attention by introducing a Tekken character into this game. Yes that character's moveset and physics in general would need reworked like crazy but the pay off is new fans.

I mean SCV even did it

The games are too different. The moment a moderately skilled Tekken player realizes he/she can't SS/Sidewalk linear strings or even break throws it's a wrap.

And, the Left-Right system just wouldn't work on the DOA plane as well. The only way it could work is to remove half of their ML, or to join them together. So that Jin's(LPRPRK) string turns into PPK. and his (LPRPLK) Would be PP6K.

Once again everyone assume that the character's moveset would be reworked so that they could fit in the DOA world. They've done this numerous times in other games so it wouldn't be that much of an issue.

In only SFXTK. That only turned to shizen. SF has kind of a Left-Right System, so that was easy. But in DOA, there is One punch, One Kick. There are too much strings the button scheme that couldn't work for DOA. Law has TWO :3::K:'s. One left, one right. Cannot work for DOA because Tekken characters have too much Left Right moves. Plus, do people actually know what uproar DOA vs. TK would bring? Everyone will die.

Not everyone in the Tekken community is like that. In fact, I originated from a Tekken background and people in the DOA community welcomed me with open arms :)
The problem's the reverse, mostly. People entering the Tekken community from anything but MAYBE Soul Calibur (even then...) get flamed.

That's why I keep my casual self offline, and just dick around with the AI.

I've really had enough with the guest characters in DOA. The only exception is Akira, who I'm very mixed on, but overall feel he's a fun addition to the roster. The rest of the guest characters really rustle my jimmies.

^^ Agreed. They feel a little odd when I control them (especially Akira), but they're really fun, which is what a guest character should be.

Honestly, as silly as the idea was, I had a lot of fun with Vader and Starkiller in SC4 (Yoda... not really), and I wish they'd bring back their styles minus the Force-goofiness. I think getting a Mishima would be fun, although the idiotic Tekken community would spend the development time trying to crap down our collective throats while the smart Tekken community would just laugh at the idiots.

Cons:
-DOA shouldn't be adding more guest characters without bringing back missing ones first (which I understand)
-The game mechanics are too different (despite the evidence presented that it can be changed)
-Tekken die-hard fanboys destined to hate any other game anyway would be upset (?)
-(most likely the real reason which again I understand...I don't expect most to agree with me) DOA players don't want a Tekken character in the game

Pros:
-It will get pretty much the entire fighting gaming communities' attention (which believe it or not DOA's bouncing boobies reputation isn't doing it any favors).
-As superficial as it sounds there will be people who will play the game only because of that character's inclusion who wouldn't have done so otherwise (which adding to the fanbase is always a good thing).
-Collaborating with another (more) well-known company is a very good thing. It opens the doors for future collabs and opportunities. Once Sega smartened up and began teaming up with Nintendo they never looked back once.
-At the end of the day, it's another character which you have every right to play or not to play (which I'm sure there are many people who do not play every character)

To add on the yes: Asuka and Lili vs Hitomi and Leifang, Hwoarang vs Rig, King vs Bass... I'm beginning to think TN should call Namco.

i would like to add to the HELL NO!'s on this thread. tekken is much too different. and their combos would suck since you can't constantly rebounce people in DOA. the only person that can come close to doing so is Sarah. and even then that was pushing it.
