I've got it mostly planned out actually.

1) Music settings (BYE BYE SHOWDOWN), voice settings, announcer.

2) Ein command training.

3) Assess the damage done to Akira.

4) Check out Hayate's changes.

5a) Momiji command training.

5b) Crack Ein open with a sledgehammer

6) Unlock all costumes for characters I use.

7) Start running it back with Ein against EVERYONE that used to body me on DOA4.

I'll get everything else done along the way (Learning Momiji/Jacky, trying out the other new chars, modes, etc.)

I'll be playing it with friends the first day most likely (getting it digital) so we'll probably mess around in VS before I go to command training. Then it's gonna be:

- See changes with Tina, Helena and Ryu.
- Command training with Fang, Rig and Gen Fu and resume training with them.
- Unlock DOA3 ending costume and orange dress for Fang.
- Start trying to find shit for them in training mode.
- Test Momi, Ein and Rachel.
- Whine about what I find on FSD.

I imagine I'll probably go:

-Options, change language to Japanese, change music
-Training with Leon, Ein, Momiji, Tina, and see what I'm playing with
-Play online for a bit
-Redo that story for achievements over time
-Get costumes for Leon, Tina, and whoever I pick as a third

And generally try to enjoy it. Just gotta wait for September.

I'll study Rachel's moves, frame data and set-ups like she's a final exam in the training, but I certainly won't be wasting my first day with 5U on that.

1. CHANGE MUSIC (super important step)
2. 20 min practice with the newbies, especially Jacky
3. Unlock the new outfits
4. Online

By the way, am I the only one who likes the English voices? Some aren't that bad.
I'll probably do the voices "Tekken Style" (asians get japanese, everyone else gets english)

What is everyone planning on doing the first day they get 5U?
The first thing I'm gonna do is pray. Pray for the confidence, courage, and wisdom to be a better person and a better player.

Blazeincarnated: Thank you for pointing that out. I was too late to apologize for my hasty assumptions earlier today, as I had to do the life thing before I could do so.

So, again, my apologies for stirring up hype by accident. I guess I should've waited a little longer for the site to load in full, haha.

I love most of the eng voices and set it to Japanese very rarely for short periods of time.

Christie was well done (Laura Bailey always delivers,) when she says "the hunt is on" it's so badass and cool. Kasumi is great too. I know most people hate her voice but it has a hint of desperation and exhaustion that fits her character and story. You can tell Lauren Landa put passion and effort into the performance. Rig sounds very smooth and sexy like "I don't even care" and it fits his character well. Bass has great lines and is a little cartoonish at times, but it fits. I could go into every character but that'd be a lot of text.

There are times english voice actors are bad but with this game it feels like people hate the english voices just because they're english. I'm not talking about the people that simply prefer the japanese voices of course.

I like most of them in fact compared to DoA2 H*C and Dimensions the ENG voices in DoA5 are godlike however I started playing properly at 2U DoA was japanese only at that point so I have it on JP simply because I'm used to the JP voices and hearing anything else is just weird.

The only ENG voices I hate with a passion is Leifang's, Hayabusa(Troy Baker is a decent voice actor I just don't think his voice suits Busa), Ayane, Helena(again Karan Strassman is a good voice actor and 100x better than the one from DoAD but the accent sounds too forced) and finally Eliot his voice actor didn't even TRY to give him an accent he's supposed to be british but doesn't have an accent Laura Bailey atleast did that for Christie which I have to applaud.

are you sure?
because i remember being able to customize individual voices in Vanilla?
you could never set them seperately it was either one or the other, you're probably thinking of the VF characters as Pai and Akira are Japanese no matter what and Sarah is always in English no matter your voice settings.
