What if with all the complaining they decide not to distribute Dead or Alive to the US anymore? Is it possible? I'm just worried. I'm a casual player and have no idea about what you guys are talking about, but Dead or Alive 5 was my first DOA game and it's great. I don't want it to end just yet.
TN would go under if they did something that dumb friend. They ain't stupid they know their fanbase is in America/Europe and not Japan.
Just look at Kasumi. It seems like they're on a neverending quest to perfect her. She had that list of ~28 changes and got several new moves.

Ayane, the redheaded stepchild, got like.. one or two changes and I THINK one new move.
LOL and let's not forget how her costumes just seem to make Ayane look like shit. But this is all theory at the end of the day.

what about poor ein. did he not get one thing new? how are people still satisfied with him playing exactly the same as DOA2 with the only changes being nerfs to the properties of some of his moves
Because he technically doesn't exist anymore, probably. Therefore all we have is the snapshot, frozen in time. lol

That's why I was happy he was gone in the first place. This is why I call him Mr.Boring.

I don't believe they are. I feared the same would happen to Leon for a time, but I feel now that I was luckily wrong. If I was an Ein player, I'd be very worked-up right now.

This...

All my feels. A character no longer being relevant in a fighting game's storyline is not an excuse for being lazy and porting the exact same movelist over to every single game while everyone else gets changes. And to be honest with you.. they aren't even doing that.

I would TAKE DOA2 Ein in this game. Lightning fast 4K, unholdable 7K, retarded 33T damage. If they actually kept him the same there would be less to complain about, that's not the case though. He literally gets worse every game.

For me, DOA4 Ein was a vast improvement over DOA2 Ein. Guard brakes, sweep, 6P+K doing a stun on NH etc. I don´t want DOA2 Ein back... DOA4 Ein plus 2-3 new useful moves and a little safer... That´s it.

lol all it took was some hostile twitter fans and basically now we can forget about them listening to any fan feedback outside of Japan.

It wouldn't surprise me, tbh.

They setting up a tournament. One guy, who haven't even played Eliot in DOA5U for more than 5 minutes said "hm, it looks like they nerfed him", and then the shitstorm starts. Just wow.
Regardless of what Raansu posted later, in terms of balancing in prior updates, that whole back and forth was unnecessary and ungrateful, and I'm not talking from TN here.

An answer that short is worthy of making me type a very very long ranting post but I'm going to not do that and try t keep this brief.

I don't want him to be easy mode, but I do want him to be good.

- Sabakis
- Advanced Holds
- Parries
- General frame advantage
- NH stun lows
- Speed
- Sit down stuns
- Any guaranteed damage
- 13 frame mid kick launcher which he had in the other 3 DOA games he was in

He has none of these things from what we've seen. So.. what does he have? Oh yeah those OH's that people seem to complain about for whatever reason. Damage? Akira and Jann Lee do more (Oh and they're both faster and have parries and OH's wouldn't ya know it?). Throws? Holds? Lei and Busa have better ones. Oh and they're faster too. In fact, If you can name one thing Ein actually excels at in this game, then I'll just shut up.

For me, DOA4 Ein was a vast improvement over DOA2 Ein. Guard brakes, sweep, 6P+K doing a stun on NH etc. I don´t want DOA2 Ein back... DOA4 Ein plus 2-3 new useful moves and a little safer... That´s it.
6P+K, 7P and 46K buffs were great, but he didn't need them in DOA2.

7K was an unholdable mid kick launcher which would track in this game also. 33T effectively took a 3rd of your health on hi counter throw and Ein overall did more ridiculous damage.

I don't want DOA2 Ein back either, an enhanced DOA4 Ein would be perfect. But the point is they aren't keeping him the same, they're making him worse. Every. Game.

Ein is easy mode in book no matter how you make him. Making him complex is trying to make Bane complex in Injustice. Anyways wasn't DOA 3/3.1 Ein better than DOA2 Ein?

You got the wrong guy.

It's Feng Wei from Tekken.
Hmm....Welll Fei has somewhat of a cool fac-...Wait nvm you're right. He is another Mr.Boring.

Happened and they either ignored it completely or just horribly misinterpreted everything: http://www.freestepdodge.com/threads/ask-team-ninja.386/

The contents of that thread is so far from the crap people post to their twitter and facebook. Which, you so nicely pasted a tiny bit of what their twitter looks like for us on the previous page. Where people are just bitching and moaning to TN, rather than actually saying anything. But alas, thats just the way the cookie crumbles I guess.

Ein excels at keepout and advanced spacing meta. Jann and Akira have great spacing but both lend themselves more to rushdown. Ein is not that character.
That is true I'll say. Jann can keep out pretty well also though.

It's not up there with the 100 threads on TYM asking for buffs and nerfs for characters in Injustice.

at SJ7 nearly everyone was loving the changes. Back on the internet everyone is crying doom. I also completely disagree with the assessment made by xcal on eliot, but he uses abnormal setups so maybe its more of a nerf to xcal than eliot. /shrug

You can only assume so much, no one really knows what their mains will be like (aside from those who went to SJ and even they only were able to test so much) and won't know until September 3rd when the game is in everyone's hands.

Perhaps Ein (And Akira...) is actually really solid and merely has some tech no one was able to find or has advantage in places no one had the time to test out. At the end of the day I'm just glad to have my character back and I'll play and win with him no matter what he's like. But until then, all I have to go on is what I saw and what the people that went to SJ told us, neither of which were very good things.
