I'm unfortunately a bum and haven't gotten my gracious ass to enough tournaments to build any rep. to propose big, community stuff like this, but I've been thinking this for some time. I'm honestly shocked by three things:

1) TN seems to think Alpha was a legit character in DOA5 vanilla and that she needed buffs for 5U
2) She hasn't already been banned ages ago
3) Some deluded people still think she's a legitimate/fair/balanced character

Alpha is a can of horseshit. She needs to go.

Some people are manipulated easy, and some are not. So once again, what does that have to do with her being banned?

And at Blackberry.... Christie isn't a problem. She's a problem for babies that can't adapt to certain characters. But I will continue to play and get better against all characters. And I won't bitch about it a damned day in my life because even with 8,000 dollars on the table it's a game... and Alpha AND Christie are not unbeatable characters. I see this as a mulligan for people that don't like her because they can't comprehend her when some clearly can, and a hit to the people that enjoy playing as this character.

The only characters that should be banned are the ones that can't be beat, because if there is a will there is a way. Asking for a ban in my opinion is weak and almost humorous.

In my opinion it has everything to do with the player. Xcal will probably win TFC, and it's not because he uses Helena and Alpha (omg!) it's because he's fucking good and he's proven he can win with any char he wants.

The people that complain about characters don't make the money they want, so I can see why they would do anything in their power to increase their chances of winning. YEY

I never said Christie was broken. Me saying she is a "problem" means that she is really good. Not broken. Christie is a top 4 character.

Either way, it's intriguing to see Deathofaninja taking a stand like this, whether he's right or wrong. I often wish I had half the courage he does.

No I don't think FSD has any say in TFC and I don't think TN wants any of their characters banned when they're donating $8K.

FSD is where TOs look for rulesets for the game. All someone like Mr. Wah or Hubbs has to do is say the community decided on this and that and I guarantee that TOs will just go okay and play by those rules.

She's not going to "go" regardless if she's banned. You are crybaby. If she is I'll just continue to win online (like Darth Vader), and watch Xcal take all the money with a different character (long after there is a different issue and ban and not go to offline tournaments.

You didn't "have" to read anything and you're getting off-topic.

If "your" character is Alpha then yes, she is cheap. It's not funny, it's stupid, and tournaments should recognize that to keep the level of competition fair.

She's not as disjointed as Alpha, but she does an equally effective job at making every other character look like a silly choice competitively.
