Anyone else hope for the return of Nicole?

With the obvious return of Tengu for the Arcade release, I think we're just missing a boxer (real boxer, not Mila) and a sumo wrestler. Both should be males. Other than that, the cast is perfect.

When does the ARC version come out?

I couldn't agree with you more, but some people rumor that Yaiba will be the playable character in promotion of Ninja Gaiden Z.

Nicole was a cool character for her time, and she was actually really effective for a guest character, but she should remain exclusive to Dead or Alive 4. It would just complicate things to include her when most tournaments are Sony exclusive, and Itagaki had a massive interest in Halo at the time.

I think we should focus on MMA just a little bit more. Make a Brock Lesnar sort of character with lots of fast, brutal punches, massive strength and bulkiness. I love Mila's character, but I'm not a big fan of her move-set. I like brutality combined with speed. The whole purpose of Mila is that she's an amateur, bring in a seasoned MMA fighter that is huge, mean and has a belt wrapped around his waste.

Tengu should be in the game already because of his unique style. At this point, I wouldn't give a damn if a copied DOA4 Tengu with one new move entered the scene, I just want to play as him for Christ sake.

A new and improved Raidou would also be a real treat. DOA is cool with mega-ninja flair and Raidou is one bad dude. It would be cool to see what Team Ninja could do with his abilities and look in the future.

I've said this many times, but Itagaki had a vision for intense villains:

Raidou - A thief, a rapist... a man that could beat the shit out of his own daughter and not feel a thing. I almost can't believe how evil he is.

Tengu - A demon, a psychological master-mind.

Alpha 152 - People rated DOA4 low just because of how hard she was to fight in arcade. Unique, but yet not... doesn't talk but speaks with her actions.

Christie - Cold blooded killer.

Now we have Yaiba, written in by someone other than Itagaki. I'm not impressed with this character because he seems like a carbon copy of Duke Nukem. I'm worried for the future of Team Ninja's new villains.

We already have enough women for the sake of being women. Putting in Nicole but ripping away the only two things she had (armor and fighting style) to make her literally nothing more than another women is just stupid.

Maybe you could take it in a different direction. I'm thinking a soldier girl with her moveset. Nice and muscular, not too much so she isn't unconventional, same moves, same English voice actor, same general aesthetic.

Of course, Rachel already got most of her moves, so it'd never happen.

Not really. That only concerns tournaments, not the game at large.

Sides, kratos was ps3 exclusive, was done before.

And Kratos was banned and never played. Same goes for Link, Spawn, and Heihachi in SCII.

Sides, doa is mainly an xbox series anyway.

Not at all. Those days are gone. In fact, if you wanted to say that DOA belonged to one console over the other (which it doesn't), it would actually have to go to PS3. If I recall correctly, PS3 was the main console for development.

...ive mained Leon for over a decade. Nicole felt really familiar.

Familiar in style, perhaps, but certainly not by moveset.

A DOA character with only mid punches? How would that work?

Oh wait, that's Rachel.

No, it's Leon.

By the way, I totally support giving Rachel a Halo 2 era suit of MJOLNIR Mk. VI armor as a costume with a toggle option for the helmet. Even though it'll never happen.

Actually, I'd make a boxer with only punches (except for wake-up kicks) but I'd divide them equally between mids, highs and lows. He'd be insanely easy to hold... under normal circumstances. How to fix that¿ Give him a shit ton of faint stuns, sit-downs, backturned stuns, quick launchers, frame advantage throws, OHs, etc.

DOA is PERFECT for a Boxer.

I would love to play a real aikido/aikijujutsu character. Momiji doesn't really count as one :(

Nicole was reincarnated as Rachel from a gameplay perspective besides the signature plasma grenade throw.

Nothing special personality wise besides the generic alpha female Spartan personality. No real backstory either that is no deeper then a dirty puddle. As a character she leaves little to be desired no matter how you try to spin it.

So you want a Spartan back without all the bulk in an armor? Wouldn't that just be Rachel in general?

Nicole's rowdy tough girl lines is synonymous to Sarah's honestly.
