I couldn't find anything. It could be a nick name or something for her. Her real name might be Mary or Rose with Mari/Rose attached to it. It's possible, I guess. I probably don't even make sense omf.

Why? XD As if Team Ninja cares about that, when giving a name:
Hitomi isn't a very German name, Mila doesn't sound very Spanish, Brad not really Chinese, Bayman not Russian, Mariposa isn't Mexican...

It will be wrong, this character is obviously coming to Ultimate, mostly like an update, than paying for it as DLC, however, consider if the character is really brand new and is not a ripped version of Tengu, then it could possibly be DLC. Guess we'll see, but it definitely won't be worth a third version for just 1 new character, maybe 3 brand new characters and new modes. The question is, why this new character for the arcade version?

Hitomi's last name may be Buchfink (it might be located on the back of her soccer shirt?), it's unconfirmed though. And since she's half German & Japanese, there's a possibility of her having a german last name. :0)

That would be a cute family name. It means "chaffinch". :)

Ok Marirose almost makes me think she's that Kasumi clone in Bayman's story arc, you know, the one with the black hoodie and sword. What you think?

lol Awesmic I'm not referring to you it was the ones talking about her being first a Lisa clone to not even coming to consoles and now a Kasumi clone. I think this is one time it'd be best to wait for the information first. XD

Maybe Donovan was just a guise this whole time and Marirose was her real identity?
