Actually, it's supposed to be paying tribute to a common anime romance trope when someone sees a character they're captivated by... everything seems to move in slow motion at that time. (i.e. Xiaoyu checking out Alisa in Tekken: Blood Vengeance)

From Eliot's perspective, he found himself attracted to Christie, thus the dramatization. The execution only seems a little off though because she was talking at normal speed during that transition.

Pardon my geek-out.

It's more of an "I'm a vamp" entrance than something romantic.

If it was a captivating entrance, there should have sparkly bubbles and glitter + sensual jazz music.

Zack is DOA's reflection of being outcasted for being different or a fake. So in turn, he rushes in to try to prove them that he's not. .....almost like Johnny Cage. :cool:

Actually Argentus it's funny you mention that b/c I occasionally play "Amazing" and "Dream On" on my Xbox player during the fights and it makes them 1000000... times more epic.

Notice it says "New Characters" and "New Stages" in plural yet only Mary Rose and Lorelei revealed so far. Could be grasping straws, but hey its a possibility we are not done yet.


Mary Rose is apparently an 18 year old SWEDISH girl

I remember TN specifically saying they were adding one new character for the Arcade version. If they ninja us with another then that would be nice, but I wouldn't expect it or even get my hopes up.

Stages are fair game though, you never know.

That was one of the most epic trailers I've ever seen. Holy cow
Marie Rose looks interesting and kind of fun. It seems that she focuses on fast, acrobatic grabs and I think that I would really like a character like that. I feel horrible for the Tengu fans, but I welcome Marie Rose wholeheartedly.

I'm happy about these expert holds. I know it doesn't necessarely mean her fighting style will be very complex, but I think they worked more on her movelist than on Rachel's for instance.

Still wondering why Helena got so much screen time on this trailer... oh wait, that's because she is the best.

Well yeah, except Marie-Rose is at least 4 years younger than Kokoro (in theory).
We all know TN said she was 18 just to avoid a bad reputation.
