It's likely there won't be more, but even when people see or find stuff like that still doesn't indicate anything because teamninja has the control and it can always be changed. This is just saying but unlikely, they could announce a third edition for next year (for the console version of the "ARCADE edition" and add more characters with Marie and more features and then all that stuff someone found in the viewer would be debunked. I'm just stating a possibility not something that will happen, pretty less likely either way.

I was that guy to write about these details for a new character, but I agree with you.
I also think that there are high chances that Marie will be the only new character and that she will arrive like DLC on console, and that there are less chances that she will be created a new edition of the game with her, or that Tengu could be another of the eventual more "characters" like seems to be hinted in the official site.

But in any cases, the last word is always of Team Ninja.

Even if they add another character I'm guessing it still won't be Tengu. The way they're focusing seems like they're gearing towards more sex appeal.

Personally I think differently.

For the announcement of DoA5U they started to show Momiji, in the end the real most important addition for the Japanese audience: then they started to present the return of Leon, Ein, the guest Jacky, ending with Rachel like big final surprise (the female character more requested after Momiji and before Irene).

Remain to see if Marie Rose is considered to be the completion of the DoA5U additional roster, that in this way will end to be formed by 3 women and 3 males (I always considered suspect that unbalance XD), or if instead will be only the first character of a series: in this case we could think that Marie Rose is the main new addition of DoA5UA, showned in the beginning for channeling immediately all the attention of the Japanese fanbase on it, and then starting to show "less important" characters like for example Tengu (and if they would end with another NG character showing Irene, this would be a living dream for me XD).

The funny thing is that if I was sure that Leon and Ein were requested only by the Western players (and so were almost a gift to us), then paradoxically the chances for the return of Tengu would be more. However I doubt that the Japanese fanbase didn't wish for the return of Leon and Ein.

I repeat that the most likely scenario is that Marie Rose will be the only addition, but that "new characterS" make me say never say never again.

Guys, I honestly believe thinking Marie won't make it to consoles is kinda dumb. The console fanbase is what has kept the franchise alive ever since 1999 and TN isn't dumb enough to leave their important public out and without the extra character.

We'll probably just have to wait a very short while after the release of 5UA to get her as an update or paid DLC. Chill out.

Theyve been dumb enough to make every other mistake theyve made with 5, so I dunno...

Maybe we get her, but then it won't be that short of a while, because that would (marketing-wise) be a really dumb move. Marie Rose is there to sell the arcade version. So maybe in 6 month up to 12 month, when Team Ninja thinks they've exploited her more than enough.

I think some of you are overestimating the financial success of the arcades. I bet she'll be released around the winter holidays with us waiting 2-3 months tops (and maybe that's even an exaggeration). After 6 mos- 1 year the amount of players will drop on console versions so they need to strike while the iron is hot.

Subway also told me that he'd come back to DOA if Tengu returned. As far as I can tell, the whole reason he's no longer here is because Tengu isn't. It would be cool as shit to have a high level Tengu kicking ass in tournaments again.

She's there to attract people to play their arcade game they aren't competing against themselves. Hell I own the game and I would still play it in the arcade if it was available.
