I've had Sweet Revenge and E-Mann copy and paste my facebook about this event in some DOA groups. I have also posted about it in the DOA5 thread over at 8wayrun.com.

Maybe Bloodburger can make a short video about it on his youtube as advertisement (with the event commercial in play too?) like he did with WNF and a 1337Lounge events in the past.

We should probably have this up at Shoryuken or Eventhubs too. Just thinking of some ways to give this more exposure.

I'm also working on reaching out to players as well for this (NorCal and SoCal).

Indeed. I'll be making a video probably tomorrow for the event on my Youtube. I'll see what can be done about SRK and EH as well.

Just a little information about the registration process.

As space is limited at the venue, we have to control the number of people that show up. This isn't ideal but it works for the time being as we look to expand the number of entrants and eventually host events at larger locations.

When you register at the link below, we will provide you with the address for the venue. We are looking to attract approximately 32 people. So register early to make sure you will be able to attend.

Even if you have gone to one or our SOCAL DOA events before, please let us know you are coming by filling out the application. You can still pay at the door but registering is very inportant to us because we need to have a head count and get brackets and other things ready for the event. You can register here:

http://thesocaldoa.com/tournaments.html

Also if you want to be added to the fighters page on SoCal DOA please fill out the form located here:

http://thesocaldoa.com/fighters.html

We are getting ready to track everyone's wins and losses at our events. and possibly run a season.

Note: Just so you all know the approximate location for the event, we are located 3-5 minutes away from Los Angeles International Airport.

Cool ModusPwnins, we got your info, you should register to be a fighter on our website. We are gonna start stat tracking at our next tournament.

If we can get sponsors we might have prizes at the end of the season, nothing is concrete yet other than we want everyone to have a great time!

I totally love the commentary today from all players! The smack talk to the character/layer analysis made it so entertaining! It's also great to know it was all in for good fun! No hatred, but love amongst all players. Funny and memorable stuff in my eyes haha. Keep up the great work SCD and to the Cali scene!

It was great to see everyone that came out for the tournament. Much appreciation to everyone that attended and supported the event, thank you. Very good games to everyone I played today, especially Requiem. Our sets in Winners Finals and Grand Finals were very intense. Always a pleasure playing you bro.

I have a few words I want to say, however. This is not toward anyone, it's about myself;

Even though I won the tournament, I am by no means proud of this victory, at all, not in the least bit. I went into Grand Finals overthinking too much and it made my playstyle with Ayane unclear in my head, a lot. If you are to watch my earlier sets, Winners Finals and then Grand Finals, you would notice this.

My momentum was gone, so I had more negatives in my head more than any neutrals or positives. I made a lot of bad decisions with Ayane in Grand Finals, so, I switched to my sub-character, hoping I could gain a momentum shift. But it took a while for me to regain that momentum.

I was going to switch it back to Ayane, but I thought out a lot of scenarios and most came out negative, so I stayed with Genfu. I won, but I'm not happy about this victory because I didn't win this tournament using my main character. I doubted myself and my ability, and I'm beating myself up for it. I can't ever allow that to happen again.

Even if I had lost, I wouldn't have felt bad about it. Requiem is a strong teammate and good friend of mine, grand finals could have gone either way, to be honest. He's a strong player and more than likely the strongest in NorCal. Most say we are even, but he's "slightly" better than me since his training regiment is better than mine.

I'm the Hajinmon Representative, but, I didn't do a very good job representing my character choice in Grand Finals. I apologize to everyone that looks up to my Ayane play and to me as a player. I feel as though I have let both myself and my Ayane brethren down this time, not pulling through or toughing it out. This sort of thing will not happen again, I promise you that.

In the meantime, I've gotta train harder and make up for this disgust I've made for myself.

As always, a big shoutout and appreciation to the SOCAL DOA crew for hosting these great events for players. I'm truly grateful to you guys for giving our players a place to play and have tournaments at.
