Just wanted to note that the official press release did not state the players involved. I made that information available so that all this negativity would be dealt with now and hopefully be out of everyone's system by E3 go time.
Imagine what would've happened if you guys didn't find out until Tuesday morning. This way you'll be focused on the game and the flood of information, rather than minor disputes about who's in attendance.
I understand all of the complaints, but for the sake of the game, get it out of your systems now. It will not be tolerated come Tuesday.
Chosen1 already at it apparently:
It's interesting that Carl mentioned we might see him in LA. I'm the one who signs people up for the tournament. All of the pools are capped at 16 players and you can't sign up until 15 minutes before each pool begins. I think Carl would see it as a wasted trip if he didn't get into the tournament.
It'd be better for him to save his money for the next announced event and not spend it on E3. The information he gains from E3 will greatly effect his performance in the game.
I'm sure people will be able to play the game extensively over the days of E3 during the morning of pool 1, and if you're in the later pools, even more time.
The legit players will pick up the changes fairly quickly or at least be on a good levil with one another. The rest will be mostly press and will be knocked out quickly.
We'll only be using two DOA5 stations at most (our goal is to only use one). So any other DOA5 stations will be open to play during the entirety of E3 operating hours.
That said, if someone wants to do well in the tournament and doesn't have much experience with the game (or only Alpha demo experience), they'd be wise to talk to me at the booth. This is definitely not the Alpha demo. In fact, at this point I think even Manny would be at a huge disadvantage against anyone who knows the system changes, and we all know he's been playing the demo constantly.
I'm actually curious to see if people notice some things without me pointing them out.
I'm going to post as much info about the build that will be there at the E3 booth as much as possible. It seems things will be a little on the hectic side but if any of you guys have any specific questions on the game please PM me because going through all these pages in the forums might end up getting missed and I want to be able to address all the questions possible for the WHOLE DOA Community. Also the more peeps tune into the stream/competition the better for the game, Just saying!
Great! I'll leave Hayabusa to you since I have enough on my plate as it is. I've spent a bulk of my time with the characters who aren't in the Alpha demo, since those are the characters the community has very little information on. If you want to take the four demo characters, that would be a great help.
This is more of what DrDogg was talking about - a solid info site with Wiki on the game on IGN:
http://doa.ign.com/
(Maybe it should be on the main post?)
It's in the main post, but I'll make it more prominent. Right now it's fairly barren because there wasn't really a good reason to post articles about the Alpha build when I'll be able to have E3 articles up there in less than a week.
When the broadcast begins on Tuesday, all of my articles will go live on that site though. If timing goes well, I imagine the frame data for the E3 build will go live at that time as well.
