You guys know me and my opinions on TN's DLC price-whoring (those gravures go down with horse armor as some of the most depressingly priced things in gaming history).

That said, I'm actually in the minority on this one. If TN is adding full new characters that aren't just sloppy copy-pastes, that amount of work deserves monetary compensation. If they don't charge for it, they probably can't afford to spend the time/resources on it. So you're put into a do or die scenario: Either you: 1) Make new characters and charge for them, or 2) Don't make new characters and don't charge for them. Personally, I prefer 1 over 2.

Therefore, I have no complaints with Marie Rose being paid DLC.

Honestly, I don't care about anything bad TecmoKoei does for the next year at least 'cause they finally gave me another Deception game. Plus, it's not like this is new. Kokonoe, Jill, Zatanna, Mr Karate, etc. I'm not saying it's good practice, but it's just the way it's gonna be. If you don't like it, go play Tekken.

What i understand from your post :
-You don't care anymore about TK now they deceived you again
-Dick move like paid DLC characters is nothing new
-You don't support that kind of commercial act
-But it's not going to change anytime soon
-If you don't like this kind of bullshit, play tekken
Can you correct me if i'm wrong plz ? ^^

Pretty much this. Look at how much DLC the Warriors game has and you can tell where the influence for all these costume whoring comes from.

And Marie Rose being paid DLC is fucking bullshit. Hell, I'll pay for it just because it's DOA, but I get how they're pissing away loyal fans more and more. It's like TN is trying to compete with Capcom to see which one is going to make more profits from DLCs.

DOA5U the ultimate DOA5 game? Don't give me that bullshit. I can't wait for TN to make DOA5U Super Arcade 2015 edition with more DLC whoring and nerfing to already low tier characters. Oh and let's not forget the port to PSV with DOA5U Super Plus Arcade Deluxe 2016 edition. Lastly, of course, the minor upgrade in graphic to PS4/XBONE with DOA5U Ultra Super Mega Plus Arcade Deluxe 2025 edition.

Can't wait for DOA6 to come out...in another 7 years.

People have to understand that Capcom and their fighting games are more popular and well-known, so they can get away and can afford with re-releasing the same game over and over (Street Fighter IV series, anyone?). Team Ninja is smaller and they obviously can't afford to do some of the things Capcom can do. Most of their money comes from the DLC, let's be honest here. I know they said Marie Rose would be free, but let's give them a pass on this one. She's a completely new character with a totally new move set. They put a lot of work into the DOA5 era, and they should be rewarded. Sure, it's going to piss us off, but we just have to keep supporting the game. And for you tournament players, you have to buy her anyway so that you can be viable in tournaments.

To be fair they made that "promise" about free characters for DoA 5, but not DoA 5U which technically is a separate game. If people are willing to shell out money for those beach videos t(apparently people are) then a paid DLC character is a no brainer for the impulse/completion buyers. Not to mention the people who are not interested in Marie Rose, but buy her anyway just to learn the matchup properly.
