And DOA5(U) seems to be doing just fine without Tengu. Honestly, people who drop a game series just because their favorite character is no longer in the series are not true fans. If you truly enjoy game, then just pick up somebody new. Hell, Alpha-152 is still a boss character and still just as cheap as DOA2/D Tengu.

That's easier said than done. What if you happen to play no one else apart from the said removed character? Or you don't have secondary main and subs?

I'm using Alpha 152, and I love her to pieces, but I want Tengu. Since you're insulting my characters allow me to do the same to yours. You're character is not a demon, you're character can not float, you're character is not a ninja, or a crazy powerful female.

Your character is a little bitch, and DOA would be doing fine without him. Not only that, but his old man is still ten times better than him, and he gets put in line by a superior female who most likely considers it progress that he actually had the balls to stand up to her. Is Eliot cheap as hell? Not really, but he's mundane and stale.

Who said anything about dropping the series? As long as a villain is around I'm around. I miss my character because he's awesome. Truthfully, I don't mind Eliot because he at least knows where he is at on the food chain.
At least I'm using a character that doesn't rely on cheap boss tactics in order for you to win. And you know what, at least MY character is still around in the latest main DOA game, while yours is probably never coming back. Take all the digs you want at Eliot, but I love the character because I relate to the character. He started off with shaky confidence, unsure of his abilities, but he was able to gain confidence and mastered his craft. I'll never drop him and I doubt he'll ever leave the main series. Good day sir.

Then that is said player's problem. Part of the fun in fighting games is expanding your horizons and learning new characters. For example, in DOA, I don't just use Eliot. I also play with Ayane, Brad Wong, Tina, Lisa "La Mariposa", Ein, Jacky, and Rachel. All of them are fun in their own way and the variety of their fighting styles is why I keep my portfolio diversified.

You relate to the character because you mastered your craft? What would that be other than trolling Tengu fans. Fuck off with your boring, bottom of the barrel metro-sexual bitch.

How was Tengu cheap in DOAD? He was one of, if not, the worst character in that game. He was DOA4 Tengu with the only tool that DOA4 Tengu had taken away from him.
I never played DOA4, so I can't comment. Still, Tengu is there and he had his time in three games. Had the developers have more time to balance Alpha-152, I can guarantee that Tengu would have not even made it in DOA4.

But my character's still in DOA5U and yours is stuck in the past and not coming back. ;)

That has nothing to do with the question.

Because his only "argument" is that his character is in the game and ours is not. If Tengu does come back, he will have to shut up, much like the character he relates to when his master speaks.

If you're going to talk shit, do it at me, not my main character. LOGICALLY speaking, as I have mentioned so many times, Tengu didn't make into vanilla DOA5 and he has not made it into DOA5U. Even with TN introducing new characters in DOA5U, one is Marie Rose and the other new character is the cloaked girl in the DOA5 ending. Tengu is NOT coming back. If TN wanted him to be in the game, they would have already done so, but they didn't. They obviously have a one playable boss character per game rule (excluding DOA3, because let's be honest, Genra would be stupid as hell). I miss Raidou, but you don't see me crying for his return that is likely not going to happen because he is DEAD!!!

All i know is if eliot doesn't make it in doa6 all the tengu fans are going to rip jyakatou a new asshole
But Eliot is going to be in DOA6, with a combination of his old moves and moves from Gen Fu, since he is currently training the apprentice.

Could you blame them for having a boss character as their main or for playing them exclusively? It's not like their gut told them to and it's not their fault they took interests on them. I may not play or have a boss main/sub but I know the feeling about getting disappointed all because your character didn't made it to the cut.

and all the tekken 3 players thought anna would be in 4, ya just don't know
But she came back in Tekken 5 and all subsequent releases afterwards. But then again, Tekken works differently than DOA. And Tekken 4 was my favorite game because it introduced Christie. :3

Then find somebody else to play as, it's not that hard. Playing as just one character all the time is no fun.
