They say there's no such thing as bad publicity. These responses make me wonder just how many people realize that Maneki's applying this logic in full force.
The phrase doesn't mean that it's impossible to have a bad reputation. It simply means that any bad reputation can be used to your advantage. The GTA series is a prime example of this, owing its current popularity almost entirely to the controversy surrounding it. Similarly, Senran Kagura Burst had a rather noticeable boost in popularity in Europe, thanks to an article that declared it sexist and damaging to the gaming industry. In this case, I'm simply saying that as long as people continue to respond to him, he has no reason to leave.bad publicity exists don't kid yourself, Lindsey lohan is a prime example
I've seen just about as many Irene requests on Twitter as Tengu. Considering that the other two Ninja Gaiden girls were added in and that TN likes just about everyone more than Tengu, Irene has a high chance of getting in.
Not wishful thinking on my part, lol.So... uh, I have a question....
Why is Irene a supposed "Most likely" to be added into DOA5U? to me, I'd say with her it's more a case of wishful thinking.
People who shouldn't be able to fight are always made able to fight in fighting games. For instance, Rachel demonstrates no hand-to-hand combat knowledge in NG, but here she is in DOA, fully competent with her twirls and swirls. And Sonia/Irene can fight. She shoots some black spider ninja with handguns, blows up some tac ninjas with an RPG, etc. She's just not good at it compared to Ryu. Then again, neither was Rachel.Nikki, Irene, Miss Monday and Miyako... I'm curious as to how these guys are "most likely" when they have shown no signs of actually being able to fight...
Space on the website. Some ambiguous/vague comments from TN hinting at it. Refusal to accept that DOA5U's final legacy will be another boring Kasumi clone. How did people come to the conclusion that they have a high chance of being added after Phase-4? I'm legitimately curious.
That's probably pushing it. He has a style involving weapons and cyborg firepower. If people didn't like Genra, then Yaiba probably wouldn't fare that much better.Tengu, Yaiba & the VF characters all have base models & styles set out for them. It's really just a case of update & tweak with them.

She can? Then how did Christie nab her so easily in Dimensions?
The same reason why Brad can just walk up and grope Ayane without getting his head chopped off, probably.
Again, Rachel fights with a hammer and gun. There's no evidence in NG she knows any hand-to-hand combat. As a CIA operative, it is MANDATORY that Irene have taken hand-to-hand/unarmed combat training).Like I said, with no previous signs of fighting. I don't really think the use of a gun is enough to state they are capable of defending themselves in a hand to hand fight. Until I see her literally hit something, I'm going to be skeptical of her capabilities.
Somebody actually made a nice little list of it earlier. I almost wanna say it was Jaguar, David Gregg or Kronin. Might want to ask one of them, as I think they put it much clearer than I would.Oh, no. I doubt Phase-4 will be the final character. But I doubt Irene will be the next character either. What were the hints though, if you don't mind me asking?
I was being facetious. My point was if a drunk dude can get the drop on a trained ninja assassin without major, immediate consequences for him, it's not that farfetched for a CIA agent and an assassin to go at it and have the CIA agent lose, especially if there was chloroform or a tranquilizer dart or something involved.Ayane isn't a psycho killer. She wouldn't cut his head off for touching her butt. She can come off as a lil bitchy but she's not an evil character -_-;; I'm pretty sure with Ayane it's all a front... buuuut that's just my opinion.
