Genra always felt out of place since he was a boss in DOA3 .. and even more so in Dimensions..

I think very simple that with the right tweaks and tools for making them unique, all the characters (from the past of DoA or NG) could be able to deserve a place in the roster. Just like to gain a great fanbase: I'm sure that Tengu is little popular not because "ugly", but very simple because he was hard to be used in an effective way (for a bad work by the developers and not because an advanced character), the same for Genra in Dimensions (not including the spamming of their moves).
Usually the boss characters get great hate by some fans because cheaper, while are loved by the other side of fans because considered cool and powerful, so living in constant extreme situation: Raidou and DoA5's Alpha-152 are not an exception, by the way Tengu is often treated with indifference by the fans, something that could appear really strange for a player of fighting games in general. The reason in my opinion is just a bad treatment in his moveset/gameplay properties: if TN will bring back him making the right changes (btw people, if you ended to write his list of tweaks, now is the time to send it to Team Ninja!) I'm sure that he will start to become a popular character even used in the tournaments, finally losing this bad fame that he gained along the years.
About Genra, the problem is that he is the less popular boss, only playable in DoA Dimensions, and with not too much efforts by Team Ninja for making of him a complete and unique character: his entry in the game is more hard because he meet also these additional difficulties, that made of him a character with really low chances to be added before Tengu and Raidou (just like Irene can hope to be added just now that Momiji and Rachel are already in the game).
Shiden is a different question because, even if less popular and with very few efforts for make of him a popular character, he played pretty similar to a character that the fans were already used to know, Hayate from DoA3. In addition being the mature leader of a shinobi clan was able to give him a great charsima in a game where the main characters are shinobi (the same for Raidou between the other bosses). Until now I saw much more requests for Shiden than for Genra and personally I'm not amazed to realize it.
But like I said, being a great fan of the series my dream would be the return of Tengu, Raidou, Genra and Shiden (Kasumi Alpha is no more a possible choice nowadays), really improved for making of them unique and effective characters, pretty different from the roster.

I'd rather TN introduce new and original characters. Despite Phase-4 being a clone of Kasumi, she is still an original and new character. I'd rather past characters stay in the past. And y'all know what past characters I'm referring to, so no need to say their names.

The possibility of another never before seen character is sick!! This would be amazing but chances are so low I guess. Another teenager like Eliot but dark haired...would be cool and tag partner for both Marie and Eliot. How much time it took for Marie Rose to create? I just wondering...how many months? Do they have spare figting style concepts? In six month could they create brand new character?

Actually I just bored with "new characters coming in near future" announcements. Waiting for Marie killed me and now Phase 4... Anybody else?....Why? Cause important thing is what we will get. Brand new or fan favourites. Make it clear please! 6 MONTHS OMG time not passing...

Gathering up all my strenght, I think that I will wait to get them until the definitive release by Team Ninja in a complete pack (but I was already ready to get Marie Rose next week...
).... but to get my hands on 4-5 characters in a single time will end to be definitely satsfying =)If TN will decide to add 3 more characters, IMO they will release the charas that you said and in that order (I think that a female character, considering the priority that they have in the series, will be always the last character revealed). If the characters will be 2, then I think a guy (hoping for Tengu) and finally another female like last one.
Anyway the doubt is just if the characters will be 2 or 3.
Considering the place for the new characters in the roster, I would say 3 because there is the room for a such number of characters, more in DoA5 and DoA5U TN has always added 5 characters in a row (Akira, Rig, Sarah, Mila, Pai - Momiji, Ein, Jacky, Leon, Rachel).
But considering the current roster in the Arcade:
I can't find a logical symmethrical disposition for Phase-4 and other 3 new characters, but only for Phase-4 and other 2:
But of course this isn't a confirmation for anything: Team Ninja could also decide to use a different disposition (for example to keep the dice in the middle of the third row, and to add four characters in a fourth row under the icons of Gen Fu, Pai, Jacky and Ein) or to leave the roster not symmethrical....
Part of the pleasure is just the waiting and the surprise behind the characters' revelation
About the "6 months and maybe more", this is the time for having all the characters in the console. But in all this time they will continue to release singluarly them on console, so if you don't want expect for the complete pack, you will be able to get all of them (with the exception of the last one) much before.

It would be but here's the thing that actually angered me, I don't want to simply go to my tournament and basically find out that someone bought marie and i will have no mu experience
As I've said before, I'd gladly drop over $100 for Tengu, but (if this character is Tengu) considering the fact that I've had to wait for, what by the time of this characters' release, would have been two years since DOA5's initial release to get my character back, I shouldn't have to pay anything at all.
I should have been playing Tengu since September 25, 2012.
