I have my own plans for Lauren, but may I incorporate parts of that in the DOA webcomic?

Fine by me, I can't do anything with it. It was just something I wanted to see.

It originally came from when I was brainstorming about how Leon could be brought back into the story. I'd already came up with the Anastasia stuff (and was going to use it as the excuse to bring back Tengu and possibly Genra, with the threat that she would also try and bring back Fame Douglas but Helena would stop her before she could do that), and then I realized that bringing back a MIST-controlled Lauren would very easily get Leon in the story in a big way, so I just needed a reason for MIST to bring her back. Her having been a thief made that easy.

The only other bit I had worked out for it (which you can use or not, up to you) was that Isabella (another of Fame's mistresses) knew about some of the secret MIST projects but wasn't a part of it, and she was trying to drop Helena and Leon clues about their respective mysteries without revealing her identity (out of fear of Donovan). The idea being that Isabella was also a playable character, but was trying to stay off of MIST's radar and so she was very secretive.

I don't really like that theory that the only way a woman can be a bad ass is if she acts manly, covers her skin head to toe and insults other women etc. these are all reasons I never liked Nicole she was just arrogant tbh with 0 redeeming qualities or relatablity so I don't understand how people can have such a strong attachment to her.
minus the armor, that's why I don't like Rachel. I don't see her as any more arrogant than ayane, Helena, Christie, Rachel, what have you. I see her as cocky at worst. most of the time she's disciplined and curt. mmost of her cocky lines served more as stay away warnings than anyhing else, I think.

I think Zack would murk Nicole. Former Mighty Morphin Black Ranger, and has a beam that blinds people.

I still want to incorporate Mila as Laurens daughter to tie things together and give more relationships. plus that, with your idea, would bring both Mila and Leon into the story, which they both lack a real motive for at the moment. wouldn't be hard. aall three of their nationalities are murky anyway lol.

Given that the last character will presumably come out some time in October (since that's when the character discount pack will be offered) and TFC is Oct.10-12, I wonder if we'll have a Rachel incident all over again. XD

They didn't give an exact month for the discount bundle, did they? Also, if the next character does come out that close to TFC, I'd assume they'd be banned for that tourney.

You're right they did not give a specific month. However around mid-March when people were complaining about MR's price TN said to wait 6 months for a bundle pack of all the DLC characters which would put it some time around late-Sept or early-Oct.

we won't have a rachel incident all over again because they test out the characters in japanese arcades,
God i love rachel and i love her heel but a vanilla rachel was just fucking stupid

ooutside of Mila and Nicole, (arguably tina and Hitomi as well, but their demeanor negates it), all the DOA girls use stereotypically femenine attack styles (waif-fu).
The only thing I can think of is Helena's style when it comes to a 'stereotypical feminine attack style' but even then I can imagine a guy doing it. Marie too obviously but everything about her is stereotypically waifu

all the girls to delicate, flowy attack styles, like Leo fang, or do little pokes and slaps, like Ninjas and Helena. Hitomi and kokoro do solid strikes, bit their overly girly demeanor negates it to me. . Side note. FForget DOAxVF. I want to see DOAxKoF! Ralph and Clark vs Leon and Bayman.

Eh I feel like those are mostly Western stereotypes of those styles though. I don't claim to know for sure, but I don't think those styles are quite as gendered in the countries they originated from.

maybe, but I was just explaining another factor in why I like nicole, and specifically, her hit like a girl line.

yeah but they wouldn't be +17 on everthing after a knockdown

Maybe, but the point I'm making is about the character's effectiveness, but rather the fact that hardly anyone would have MU experience versus the character, so there's a good chance he or she who just be banned to play it safe.

I understand that Rachel was fairly new as well during last year's TFC, but the entire game was new at the time.

Speaking of badass and strong women, I think it would be great if DOA added an Amazon to the cast

all the DOA girls use stereotypically femenine attack styles (waif-fu). I hate that. I love when a woman can be and is a brutal fighter like Mila and Nicole,
Ayane has a grab where she steps on someone's face like it's nothing, another grab which would probably break someone's fucking back, Kasumi steps someone's face multiple times, can teleport in the middle of an attack and either elbow the fuck out of you, knee you right in the face two times, give a strong knife edge chop, or jump and kick you right in the face, Tina tosses you around like a rag doll, Lisa jumps all over the place, Momiji can literally conjure fire with some of her attacks, Rachel steps on you, punches you in the gut extremely hard, Christie jabs the shit out of you, Helena will slap you into oblivion, Hitomi will punch you so hard you'll go into another world but yet all of these are stereotypically femenine attack styles

Lol naw Rachel is very strong and all (possibly the strongest in DOA) but I meant an actual amazon. Simular to Xena The Warrior Princess (one of the greatest action shows ever)

but yeah, DOAxKoF. Ralph and Bayman, Clark and Leon, Joe and Zack, Mai and Kasumi, yoyogirl and Ayane, Hayate and Andy, Terry and Ryu (terrys upwards spiral kick into izuna), Blue Mary and Tina, Vanessa and Mila, Kim and Rig (Criminal Justice!), Lisa and...I dunno, Angel?

a couple big attacks don't excuse majority of the moveset. Tina, as I said, is arguable, but like Hitomi and kokoro, her persona offsets any masculinity present in the moveset to me.
I'm sorry, her hair and clown makeup just...ugh ruin her for me. mostly the Sarah palin hair. same problem I had with bayonetta. gglasses aren't helping lol.
