False. We know Marie Rose's height, nationality, hobbies, favorite food and all that other useless information no one cares about as well. At bare minimum we know the same.So basically, we know more about her than we do about Marie Rose (or various NPCs that people on this very site have requested).
No, the opponents are so surprised to see someone actually use "pro-wrestling" in a real fight that they are immobilized in shock. And if you don't like "flashy," I'm not sure what you consider using a fucking hand grenade in a fist fight.Argentus said:except Tina doesn't back it up because she does flashy moves that require the victims participation to work.
In gameplay and canon she wrecks 99% of people on the Earth. You're intimidated by the wrong shit.ayane is a ninja, so nothing intimidating there, just a buncha little pokes and slaps.
No, it just doesn't work at all. When nicole said "this is how you hit like a girl", the line only worked because the girl just hit you like a truck.
She doesn't back up anything but her willingness to use explosives and super-cloaking armor in a fist fight. The other girls (and guys, who also exist, btw) can canonicaly, and gameplay-wise, back up FAR more than Nicole can. Whatever this "she is intimidating and can back up her attitude" thing you've got going on is purely in your imagination.plus her openers of "you have no business here", "enough is enough", "I'll put you out of your misery", "that bad day you're having just got worse", "you ain't gonna make it", "nothing for you here but a shortcut to hell" all really worked for her precisely because unlike other females, she could actually back up blunt statements like that, and I loved her for it. yyou knew that it was gonna HURT going up against her.
That only leaves one loose end... would the current Team Ninja be interested in picking her up as much as Itagaki and her daughter particularly did, should Bungie (or whatever company currently acquiring the rights) be interested in giving the character away?I
EXACTLY, THANK YOU. stripping the Halo out of her should get around most of the copyright or trademark issues, and I doubt the halo guys would have a huge problem with letting TN keep Nicole as a non halo character.

And I don't consider "being cautious of time-travel" to be an excellent indicator of intelligence. My standards are a bit higher than that.

Thats right, the PS4 does not play PS3 games. At all.Does this mean a PS3 disc won't work on a PS4 and you couldn't buy things from the PSN store for PS3 games?
who cares though, her whole story wasn't even cannon she technically neverReally? Why is Marie Rose fighting? Nicole is doing it in order to keep Nassau Station and the technology aboard it a secret.
How did Marie Rose learn to fight? Nicole was abducted at six-years-old by a government program and put through rigorous training and genetic modification.
What was Marie Rose doing before the fight? Nicole was minding her own business on a space station before it got sucked into a warp rift.
Regardless, the original point is that she is more than a suit of armor and 2-3 generic tough girl lines, and that what David Gregg said about being close-minded about other people's character choices should go both ways.
Also, understanding that you don't want to screw up the timestream likely puts her intelligence above quite a few of the other characters in this game (at least, going by how DoA5 presents them).
I know you are against nicole, but most of this post was nonsensical. First, Shock doesn't work like that. when you are shocked, you don't assume cooperative coordination with your show partner. SSecondly, other than the grenade itself being plasma, nothing flashy about Nicoles grenade grab. she just stuck you with it. no flips, twirls, poses, or unneccessarily showy motions. Third, the hit like a girl line is an ironic joke. hhow unlike tge other females who hit with dainty slaps and pokes, Nicole hits like a man, with slams, smashed, and crushes. so yes, it definitely works. wouldn't with anyone else, though. FFourth, are you seriously giving Nicole shit for being a supersoldier when you main a character whose main strength is his willingness to use magic spells and weapons? seriously?! come back and try to talk shit when Ryu doesn't teleport away (yaiba), magically fly 30 feet in the air, wieldig ancient magical weapons, amd otherwise take a ton of advantage from ninja magic shit. That, or stop trying to go on about how awesome Izunas are. just don't be a hypocrite anymore, however ya wanna go about it.False. that is the real question. unfortunately, probably not. at least, they wouldn't keep her as the badass I know and love. nnew TN doesn't seem to like any masculinity in their women, Sarah notwithstanding. lookit Mila. at 5s launch, she was blatantly boyish with her default outfits, but they abondoned that with almost all future outfits in favor of standard "cute" outfits. NNicole would probably be reinvented as some kinda cutesy POP idol. That only leaves one loose end... would the current Team Ninja be interested in picking her up as much as Itagaki and her daughter particularly did, should Bungie (or whatever company currently acquiring the rights) be interested in giving the character away?
Sony is working on some kind of streaming service for PS3 games on the PS4 and Vita, but we don't know how that's going to work yet.

I see it as no different than the Ninjas or assassins being in the game. magical abilities and elite killer training would mop the floor with a Bruce lee fanboy and karate schoolgirl. half the cast should already be hikariously one sided.he has a point shes a spartan super soldier, her fighting most DOA combatants is like Goku fighting Snake sure he would win, but the odds are so absurdly stacked in his favor just because of his genes its not particularly impressive and in reality is pretty fucked up.
it would be like cheering for this guy to win in a fight
fighters need worthy opponents otherwise its just a cruel beatdown
I do, obviously. especially since it could be made Canon almost completely intact.who cares though, her whole story wasn't even cannon she technically never

It depends on how you define: showy. If you're going by "the most pragmatic motions and posture for fighting," then you can attack her posture as being there just for show, since it's not practical to stand upright in a fight, especially with your jab hand lowered to your waist.SSecondly, other than the grenade itself being plasma, nothing flashy about Nicoles grenade grab. she just stuck you with it. no flips, twirls, poses, or unneccessarily showy motions.
The concept of "hits like a man" is stupid and thus the root of why I hate the line. It operates on the assumption that I am supposed to expect all girls to hit less or less efficiently than men. "Oh, but she doesn't. Isn't she so tough?" No. I don't care. If you hit hard you hit hard regardless of your gender. Making a deal out of it cause you have a vag gets you no points in my book.Third, the hit like a girl line is an ironic joke. hhow unlike tge other females who hit with dainty slaps and pokes, Nicole hits like a man, with slams, smashed, and crushes. so yes, it definitely works.
He uses weapons when others come at him with weapons, not in DOA. Imagine if he had a throw where he used the Dragon Sword like Nicole uses the grenade? Yeah. Stupid. As far the ninpo thing goes, I'm not a fan of the DOAD projectile or the current PB he has. Regardless, they do come from his bio material, however, and not from a suit or weapon.FFourth, are you seriously giving Nicole shit for being a supersoldier when you main a character whose main strength is his willingness to use magic spells and weapons? seriously?!
Izunas are a feat I enjoy because they employ more than just power. For example, the ninpo, you just blast. Weak. Grenade you just stick 'em with. Weak. The izuna, even if you can teleport, requires incredible skill, timing and manipulation. It's very impressive, even for someone with the capacity to do it (for clarification, it's never truly identified whether anyone can learn ninpo or if it's exclusive to ninja genetics).come back and try to talk shit when Ryu doesn't teleport away (yaiba), magically fly 30 feet in the air, wieldig ancient magical weapons, amd otherwise take a ton of advantage from ninja magic shit. Because Marie Rose likes fighting. She gets a kick out of watching people underestimate her, hence her chipper/goading personality.Really? Why is Marie Rose fighting? Nicole is doing it in order to keep Nassau Station and the technology aboard it a secret.
What color are Nicole's panties? We know that about Marie, but not about Nicole. How did Marie Rose learn to fight? Nicole was abducted at six-years-old by a government program and put through rigorous training and genetic modification.
Marie was/is a maid. What was Marie Rose doing before the fight? Nicole was minding her own business on a space station before it got sucked into a warp rift.
I'm not close-minded about Nicole. I'm not closing my mind off to elements are her and dismissing them. I'm open to what she has to offer, it's just that she has so little to offer aside from things that at this point, can't make a return (or can be easily passed to a new character with more to offer, which they kinda already did). Thus, I see no point in bringing her back.Regardless, the original point is that she is more than a suit of armor and 2-3 generic tough girl lines, and that what David Gregg said about being close-minded about other people's character choices should go both ways.
No evidence points to that. Except perhaps Kokoro. Also, understanding that you don't want to screw up the timestream likely puts her intelligence above quite a few of the other characters in this game (at least, going by how DoA5 presents them).
I have my own plans for Lauren, but may I incorporate parts of that in the DOA webcomic?I don't particularly think Nicole has a chance (her ownership status is very murky, to the point where they'd be better off skirting the issue by creating a similar character instead of trying to use the original...which they technically already have done in terms of her moveset), but I don't think people should jump down other people's throats for their character choices.
You can disagree with their choices, sure, but there's no need for resorting to "Your character sucks and I find them to be as two-dimensional as a piece of paper with no potential of ever gaining any depth!"
Besides, everyone has their longshot never-going-to-happen character wish.
Heck, I'll share mine for ridicule: Lauren (previously mistranslated as Rolande)
![]()
Have her be a speedy thief-like grappler.
But wait, she's dead!
That's the best part, her role will give a reason for Leon to be in the story again. First of all, I should clarify I don't want her as a DLC character for this game, she'd have to be introduced in a later game where you can actually go into her story and such.
The backstory would be that her body was recovered by MIST and given to Anastasia (one of Fame's mistresses who is revealed to be working for MIST). Before she died, Lauren had stolen valuable intel from Donovan (back when he was still part of DoATEC) and he wants it back (in addition to having a few things he needs stolen from other people and brought to him).
So her body is used in MIST's newly revealed "Project Resurrection" (note: the name Anastasia literally translates to Resurrection, hence why I picked her to be the project lead). They successfully bring her back and brainwash her so they can learn what she did with the intel she stole and then make her go steal things for them.
Meanwhile, Leon hears of a legendary thief matching Lauren's description and decides to investigate. This brings him into direct conflict with MIST, and once he discovers the truth, his new goal becomes to undo Lauren's brainwashing (this can then be dragged out over another game or two before he either sacrifices himself to do it, or is forced to kill her, or actually just succeeds and gets to live happily ever after).
So there. That's my never-going-to-happen character wish. Ridicule away.
okay then first, apologies, hard to tell if you are trying to be aggressive or just blunt. second, okay, for the grenade, that's just perspective. third, for me, the line goes back to why most of the female cast hold no appeal for me. ooutside of Mila and Nicole, (arguably tina and Hitomi as well, but their demeanor negates it), all the DOA girls use stereotypically femenine attack styles (waif-fu). I hate that. I love when a woman can be and is a brutal fighter like Mila and Nicole, and its a big part of why I love that line. ffourth, ill argue on Izuna. end of the day its just a spinning piledriver that magically goes three stories up for no apparent reason. aas for ninpo, I doubt its exclusive. more likely just a training thing.Hint: it was a joke.
But they do the same thing for nicole, too. Being immobilized to wait for a punch after she stomps on your toe? Really? They let her do it in the same sense as they would with Tina.
Then again every time someone enters a lift stun things are just stupid, so that doesn't make a compelling argument for any character (though if it did... Mila...)

Izuna is godly.
As far as Yaiba goes, I didn't play it, specifically because I hated the way they handled Ryu.
Because Marie Rose likes fighting. She gets a kick out of watching people underestimate her, hence her chipper/goading personality.
What color are Nicole's panties? We know that about Marie, but not about Nicole.
You can play specifics all day. Just because we know one element about one character and not the other, doesn't mean we know more about them in general. That would be like me saying: "What would Nicole say to Rig? We don't know that. But we do for Marie, so we know more about Marie."
Futile argument.
Marie was/is a maid.
