JP VF players are converting, large pot prizes announced in the US with healthy stream feed. Recently in ROF3 in France, we got more showings than KOF, TTT2, Injustice, and MVC3.... For the record, france is known frr being a strong KOF territory, so beating that gme defitiely put it on the map. On a side note, my good friend Dieminion (yes, sonic boom dieminion) came up to me after the finals saying this game is way too hype n I think I'm gonna try it out.. we talked about it and its mechanics for a good 30 minutes... Despite the tits..

- I get it... Some of u wanna dress the dudes like fairies... Sure, if thats what you're into just voice it to TN.. twitter is there for a reason.. and they DO read it.

- the game is balanced... Yes, even after playing SRs genfu.. so fuck you all.. from playing SR, Ive come to the conclusion that he as a player is strong.. and its not just genfu tearing things up... If u wanna challenge this theory then shut the fuck up n pick genfu in tournament n lets see how well you do.

- Alpha really needs brains to be used efficiently now.. she isnt as broken as before...

- french players are awesome.. one of the coolest FGCs out there.. :)

- I need to play more tournaments

- in my 2 days at the tournament I learned more things about the game, matchups, and my own characters than I could ever have on my own.
I'm saying this and I'm better and more experienced than all you puny little koowappaa insects out there. So, get ur asses out there n start playing offline. Not only will u start making friends (apart from your left hands) but you will learn to appreciate the game so much more.

You guys really take what u got for granted... I have no fucking scene but myself.. my online is utter shit.. and i have to travel to another fucking country to play and support the game i love n i can only afford to do so once or twice a year. And then i see some of you fucktards with a tournament just across the street n u dont go either out of laziness or fear of fucking losing!?! REALLY? Pathetic..

I really do see what you're saying here, but I need to refute that fourth point. The emphasis on boobs in DOA really does hurt the franchise's reputation a ton. Whenever I ask someone if they know about DOA, they either say "No" or "oh, you mean the game with the tits?". The tits are what DOA is known for and rarely do people take it seriously because of that. Not on gaming sites or in real life. Everytime a DOA article pops up, the first comment tends to be along the lines of "BOOBS!" and only a few talking about the actual gameplay. People leave Twitch streams whenver DOA appears because they have been brainwashed to believe that it is just a titty fighter. Of course everyone loves boobs and they can be in DOA if they want, but bikinis, bouncing tits and fetish costumes does not need to be the primary appeal of DOA. I was hoping that TN/Tecmo would continue in DOA5 Alpha's direction and hopefully salvage at least some of the respect that they had lost with the Xtreme series (I did want Ayane's boobs to be a little bigger tbh though lol), but they started releasing bikini pack after bikini pack and all hope became lost. I get that they sell well; some packs are fine, but they've gotten excessive and super-skimpy as well. I realize that DOA is getting some more support in tournaments and stuff and that is good, but it would have been so much better if DOA had a better reputation.

Also realize that people have different circumstances than you and others that make going to tournaments and meeting offline quite difficult. Strict parents, distance, scheduling, self-confidence and other factors sometimes prevent people from being able to go to tournaments a lot of the time. The first three apply to me personally, though I would love to go to a tournament in a few years, when these things become less of a problem. It's not as easy as you make it seem.

This post may have come off as somewhat of a mess, but I'm just ranting here with things that come to my mind. I love what you do Cow, but there are just some things that you need to understand.

EDIT: Just as a warning, I only got up to page 1019 by the time I posted so some of the things I said may have been addressed. Please be gentle. ._.

Ninjas have always been popular in DOA though... I remember in DOA4 a typical lobby lineup would be like Kasumi -> Ryu -> Kasumi -> Kasumi -> Ryu. And I still remember that ONE Kokoro I encountered during the year or two I played online. He was pretty good.

But on the topic of PSN vs XBL, how active is XBL these days? I got back into PSN last week and was surprised to see over a dozen lobbies in the afternoon (USA). I also saw more Jackies than Jann Lees which blew my mind

I think he needs to be in the tournament more than take part on the wacky serious story (even though he's stern enough to be there).
