Who here reads the books? There are differences, but if a character dies, you can certainly expect that character to die in the show. All I'm going to say is that Sunday's episode is going to be awesome.

One thing I don't like about the Mountain in the show, is that he's portrayed by three different men in total. So anything that could happen to him in the future won't be as visually compelling as a young king's fall.

Keep telling myself that I'll watch the show. Except
my favorite character kinda dies in the first book.
So I don't care enough to watch it.

Lol I'm sure they'll do Lady Stoneheart next season. I mean, they can't NOT do her. She's an important part of the story. Right now she has Brienne, Pod and Hyles Hunt captured and she sent out Brienne to get Jaime to bring him. Why would the BwB capture Brienne even though she's an honorable woman without Stoneheart? Why would they send her to get Jaime? Beric would still be alive if he hadn't given Cat the kiss of life, and he's an honorable man. There's just too much stuff that wouldn't make sense. I don't buy it for a second. Plus, it'd be an extremely idiotic decision on the show writers part.

They're definitely diverging from the books and they're going to be going even further away shortly. They're going to catch up to and surpass the books within two years. We'll be lucky to have book six by then. The producers know how the story ends so they'll likely end up in the same place but the path taken may well be different.
I could easily see how Stoneheart could be omitted. Her content in the books is largely unimportant so far aside from killing a couple people that may or may not include Brienne.

All I can do is hope... I'd just be seriously disappointed if they omit her. But the show catching up and going past the books is worrisome. The tables will be turned on book readers and show watchers, haha. But you're right, ADOS won't be out for a long, long time.

I got the whole Lady Stoneheart thing spoiled to me elsewhere, so I might as well comment on it.

I haven't read the books, so I can't say definitively how I feel about the whole thing as I don't know how well it's handled. But honestly, the premise just seems really weak. She's obviously not the same character as before, not really. Just shares some memories and the like. So really, you'd be paying a talented actress to come back as a hilarious, raspy-throated zombie that, as Cyber pointed out, may or may not kill one of the coolest characters in the story (Brienne) for completely ridiculous reasons.

Hopefully she doesn't wind up killing Brienne in the books, for obvious reasons. And if that's the case, it's best to just leave her out, imo. Aside from sending unsuspecting showwatchers into a giggle-fit, I don't really see any productive value of adding a Shaun of the Dead extra into the TV show.

But that's just my two cents. Book folk can feel free to cry out in retaliation or whatever if they like.

Aw. That's too bad. :(

I personally liked the idea of Cat coming back because I liked her character a lot, and even though she's not Cat anymore, she still kills a lot of Freys. I won't go too into detail, but I feel that Stoneheart will become very big in TWOW due to how ADWD ended. Of course, I could be completely wrong. I just feel that if Martin, who is basically god of death, revived a specific character, he'd have a very very good reason. Or I'm just a Cat fanboy.

To CyberEvil (stop reading Brute.), like you said, there's still too little content to know for sure how Lady Stoneheart will impact the story.

I'm really kind of just blabbing here about what could happen with Stoneheart in TWOW. Stoneheart has Brienne's life wrapped around her finger. Since Brienne chose "Sword", it means she's bringing Jaime back to LSH and she chose to lie to him at the end of ADWD. So, there's not much material to go on, but Brienne's honor will not let her leave Pod and Hyles behind, which means she either needs to give up Jaime or come up with a plan. Stoneheart could potentially kill off two main characters + their two friends. I assume that either Jaime or Brienne or both will die in TWOW (I can't really see how they could both escape, but please feel free to argue with me on that one). If Brienne takes Jaime to Stoneheart, she'll either immediately hang/torture him or what I think is highly likely, give him a trial by combat. It'd fit in perfectly into Jaime's arc with his left-handed sword training. It'd be cruel and ironic because Stoneheart knows he can't win. That, or Brienne volunteers to fight for him. Or Stoneheart could make Brienne vs. Jaime.
Of course, there could always be a Deux Ex Machina like the Blackfish.

I like how my scumbag brain forces me to show the spoiler and then quickly hide it while trying not to read the text
