What makes things even more hilarious is that clearly this person has something against the Japanese, yet he's playing a game that was created in Japan and talks shit about Japanese players when I'm not even Japanese. lol too bad I didn't use Akira on him. I would love to see his reaction to the ora ora ora win pose.

It seems like more and more people are taunting and corpse beating as time goes on. I fought 8-10 people yesterday and every single one did. And the taunting isn't limited to just hitting the taunt button.

This one person low held every time they got stunned like a jackass with me doing standing throws almost every time like a dumbass. Then after KO they'd mash the throw button to taunt and imitate me trying to hiC throw them which was like.. I'm not the one being a douche here. I was going to get my revenge next match by low hold taunting them after KO's but the host left, transferring privileges to this person and they forced to lobby and change the rules to tag match. Which I notice happens in solo lobbies a LOT. So I just left.
Maybe those nice people received hate mail and it got to them. :c
I've heard something along the lines of this story before from someone else and it isn't about them receiving hate mail, it's about salt and sometimes jealousy.

Yeah, the PSN players are getting worse. They taunt a lot, corpse beat a lot, trash talk a lot, get salty easy, kick a lot, try to mirror you a lot (lol), pick dojo a lot and, ironically enough, they suck more than ever.

It delights me to mutilate these pathetic fuckers.

Well, I've met a lot of friendly and fair players (new and/or unknown one's) too during the last months, so it's not that bad imo. It might be different in US lobbies, though^^

I still get hate mail telling me to stop spamming grabs. Specifically mount tackle

Even when I've never done it. Only countering their spammed mids which lead into the mount lol.

But even so.....using grapplers....what are they expecting, really?

"Leon isn't that hard to use."
Then I thank them for the Greatest.

I've found a couple decent players recently, nobody that would force me to go all out on but they give me a good challenge as I try to get my Bayman beyond my Bass level.

Actually, you're getting better.
That would be odd, as I haven't competitively trained for this game in a long while.

I've been taking things more casually and trolly lately.

Are you sure about that?

You're certainly better than the average PSN player when you're actually trying.

You're not bound by their shortcomings of growth. The same can be said for a handful of others I've observed. If only they joined here...

I've sent a good number this way. They haven't improved much in the six months they've been here.

I'm better than the average PSN player when I'm not trying as well, lol, but that's not really saying much. xD

You're not bound by their shortcomings of growth. The same can be said for a handful of others I've observed. If only they joined here...
Well, I suppose that's good news in light of my future plans.
Thanks for the input, man. I still feel like I require a bit of divine intervention to beat your Christie, though. You really like to toss me around like a ragdoll sometimes, haha.

You mean you redirected some PSN players here to FSD six months ago and they still haven't improved?

To be fair @XZero264, there's more to improving a player than just sending them here. As the old saying goes, you can lead some people to a tutorial, but you can't make them watch, understand, and apply the knowledge.

It all depends on the will of that individual. Some are willing to go through the motions, and some aren't. And then there's the secondary layer of the individual's learning curve, even though their diligence shows promise The anonymous individuals I'm referring to have the diligence and the mindset to be willing to improve, although they are small in number.

I learned some good Mila tricks when I initially arrived to FSD, my game play went to a whole other level with her as a result of some techniques other Mila players spread. I added a few myself nobody had either thought about or bothered to post.

If I blatantly point out where to go for something and the person goes, reads/watches, and can't improve upon their own playstyle (after constantly playing and still being given advice) then I can only do so much beyond saying "practice it." There are a few I'm still helping and only one really has improved in the past month by actually trying stuff out.

I don't recall how I got to this site, probably was looking up DOA news and stumbled across it. I know I'm a little tiny bit better than before after a year of being a member (I just noticed it'll be a full year tomorrow, time flies). I have great fights between a bunch of bad ones, so hopefully in another year with even more experience the good will outweigh the bad.

Awesmic is right. Some people just don't want to learn. Getting better at this game or any other comes in small portions. Those small portions gradually build up in number making you a better player over time. Some people just want instant gratification and lose interest if they don't get better right away.
