DLC characters...not entirely out of the question

No1 in the game has a rough aggressive style like Leon. You would think they would want him in with the whole darker tone of the game. I guess not it seems... which is unfortunate.

It also makes sense that Kasumi defeated her in DOA2 and that Alpha-152 was just another one of the 500 Kasumi clones they had growing all around the world throughout DOA2 and DOA3.

Maybe she was the 152nd Kasumi clone..?

Wait I'm confused. Do you play Bayman or Leon? If it's Bayman, he's been confirmed for a while now and was even in the E3 build of the game, so no need to worry about him not being included.

Also, I don't think Dr. Dogg has a problem with character loyalty. I think the point he was making was just that skipping out on an entire game because of one character being absent is a tad silly, and that if you're going to make a decision to skip a game it should be for gameplay reasons as opposed to who's in it. What if DOA 5 turns out to be the best game in the series? Would you willingly deprive yourself of an awesome game just because Leon isn't in it? Believe me I'm a character loyalist myself and I'd be pissed if Tina were absent, but I certainly wouldn't skip DOA 5 if she was.

I was using Bayman as an example of people liking unpoular characters.the last bit he said in the first paragraph was what I felt was a stupid statement is all.I do agree with him that it's strange to drop a game that dropped your favorite character(though I can see the behind it too) if Bayman got dropped I would still get this game cause there are still interesting characters and while I like the style and character I like the game more which is why I havnt switched to Tekkens Dragonov.

Bayman obviously comes the closest but i simply prefer leon in every way, I like his character design better and how hes pretty much the closest thing to an arab/middle eastern character in a fighter, his costume options are far superior, and his style of sambo is much more ruthless and overpowering and he just looks to decimate and manhandle his opponents.

i was not only looking forward to DOA5 but to play as Leon in DOA5 with the new changes an improvements especially with the buff the grapplers like bayman and tina seem to be getting and air throws returning back to how DOA3 used them and making them not require and 20ft launch height like in DOA4. I won't pass on it completely if Leon got cut and will at least give it a rental since eliot was my secondary and theres no doubt he'll be in it, but i won't be getting the game at launch and will wait for it to hit the bargain bin while in the meantime i'll simply be playing TTT2/VFFS... 2 games that i know have my mains in them.

nah he just isn't the same...i know he has some qualities of leons rough house style but i just personally don't care for him or wrestling based fighting styles in general, , he simply won't suffice...its leon or nothing

now that i think about it how the hell did this topic go from discussing dlc characters into questioning whether leon is in the game or not? pulling some reverse psychology crap and tricking me into thinking he isn't in the game only for the suprise announcement showing him obliterating some poor fool in his reveal trailer.

hell naw i ain't falling for that ploy. all signs point to him being in and the leaked exe hasn't been wrong so far and will assume team ninja is just saving the best for last

If Leon makes it to the game, I don't think he'll have a reveal trailer. (I hope he does though) There are more important characters that do need a trailer like Helena, Pai, Mila and Jann Lee.

He does not have an air throw nor do I believe he really needs one. Just doesn't fit his flow very well.

An air throw is something you give to a more brutish type of character.... and Bayman's is the more refined take on Sambo compared to Leon who is focused more on displays of power and rushdown.

Here's hoping for him as some DLC...

Well, until I see the final character reveal there is still high hope for Leon, unlike Ein, Leon isn't a clone and or someone who's lost their memories ala Ein who is basically Hayate without his memories. So once Ein regained his damage brain cells, I see no use for him to be in the game because he's Hayate now.

They should just go all the way and release an AE style downloadable or disc update (downloads for everyone who bought vanilla DOA5, disc for new players) with the new characters and all the changes that DrDogg and Rikuto want.

Call it DOA5: Hardcore, or better yet, as a nod to VF and EVO, call it DOA5: Evolution.

Dogg can't even tell if TN is listening to him or y'all why would he know something like that? besides they knew Rig was showing up and I doubt that would be the result if the list was inaccurate.

yup like i said earlier the leaked exe has been 100% on the mark so far not only in the revealed characters, but also the stages. its been far too accurate to just take his vague comments as fact and can just be a ploy to plant doubt in people to not soley rely on it an instill some form of hype that was lost due to the leak spoiling everything
