This conversation is like herpes.
It's ugly, painful, keeps coming back and there doesn't seem to be any known cure.
I think the same points have been reiterated enough times by now that everyone's been able to contribute their mind to it plenty enough times for everyone to be informed on the multiple viewpoints surrounding it. It's to the point where bringing it back up only serves to spark contentious flames.
So, let's move on to other things.

I've only heard one version (the one in DOA1U).
So I suppose go with whichever one you think sounds better.

There's going to be another character after Nyo Tengu? No way, I don't see it happening.
Even if it is I bet you it's going to be a naked female whose move set consists of showing off her bod to stun the opponent, bending over to do damage, and with the power blow being a strip tease number among other over the top sexual things.

The last character will most likely not be playable at TFC if Nyotengu isn't coming to consoles until September. Would have been cool to see all of the characters there.

The 3 month rule is what we go by b/c it has held true up until this point:
December 24: MR to arcades
March 25: MR to consoles, Phase 4 to arcades
June 17: Phase 4 to consoles, Nyotengu to arcades
