I'm pretty excited for more costumes, regardless if they're terrible or not. You people don't want TN to include customization, so you'll have to live with the copy & paste costumes they're providing us. Obviously, people are buying the costumes, otherwise, they wouldn't keep making them. Team Ninja isn't forcing you to purchase the costumes or download the catalogs. Costumes don't even make or break the game, they're just cosmetic changes for which certain DOA players enjoy, fetish or not. Give Team Ninja some credit for still making DLC for their game, even if it isn't on the level on which you think it should be.

I'm not grateful for almost 30+ outfits that I don't want in their wardrobe regardless whether they're funding out for events or not as compensation.

Yes. No one is obliged to buy them (let alone download the catalogue) but I feel that every female I play as feels ruined character-wise with all these hand-me-downs.

Hell, I already had that character, but it was taken away from me.

If you want to use the marriage analogy, it's like Bankotsubo and I were happily wedded, then one day, out of the blue, without saying a word, he just up and left.

I was stuck thinking to myself "what went wrong? Did I make a mistake? Did I hurt him? Did I do actually anything wrong, or was it him? Where did he go? Is he gonna come back? When? Should I just move on? How the hell do I just move on?"

Then two years later he suddenly shows up on my doorstep again... and I'm shocked to see he's had a sex change.

I'm like "whoa, dude. That's a huge decision that affects everyone in your life, not just you. You gotta talk to me about this shit. Fuck, I didn't even know you wanted this. You never showed any indication that you desired it."

It's all kinds of fucked up, yo.

So, yeah. Hopefully that made someone chuckle.

PS: During that very forlorn time, I ended up sleeping with our next door neighbor a few times. He's a very masculine Italian fellow in the home renovation business.

Again, don't buy them. There was plenty of costumes in DOA2U I actually hated, so I just didn't wear them after I unlocked them and saw how they looked.

This response definitely deserves to be on the front page of FSD. XD
That was quite the operation! :O

2U had so much variety that I find usable in comparison although it still has hand-me-downs (PE uniform, Xbox outfits), at least whatever fetish costume or recolors they got is exclusively theirs and not slapped on everybody else thus making it somewhat unique.

Oh more costumes incoming? Possibly angelic themed? Well if that is the case I'm not buying costumes yet again, but I know TN is primarily aiming at the Japanese/Casual demographic that is apparently buying all their costume dlc shit quality or not. Why change what isn't broken in the current market? If I was in their shoes I would do the same thing if I shoved my personal emotions aside and went in with a pro buisness mindset.

Sad that people who are sick with fetish dlc are in the minority on this one, but it won't change unless people stop thinking with their dick in mass. Sucks that this trend will continue until DoA5 development support ultimately stops with maybe an occasional thrown bone like a legacy/casual pack in the sea of fetish dlc.

Edit

That said I'm not gonna bitch at people who constantly buy the fetish dlc. It's their earned money and they could do whatever they want with it. Not like we are some strict work union organizing boycotts and such. At the very least the dlc costumes help with prolonged developer support which can result into future dlc characters such as the ones we are getting now so whatever I chalk it up as one of those "necessary evils" scenarios.

This sums up my thoughts, I don't like when people shame on others for buying cosmetic DLC. what about us that happen to like it, Fetish or not i like to change the look of my character from time to time no matter the game. if anything i think it's astounding that TN is still making DLC and not letting this game just sit and stagnate. It's keeping the community relatively fresh with things to talk about discuss and bicker about. Not letting the game fall into obscurity. I don't think it fair to say " if you wanna waste ____ amount of dollars" blah blah so on and so forth. may be a waste to you but not a waste on the other end. a waste would be if the person didnt want or appreciate it. But if the person that purchased it values it then it's not a waste but a win on their part. I for one love costumes in any game i play and though i don't always have a lot of money i like to download the catalogs so i can at least see them in action. These costumes don't break the game they don't change anything it's just something nice to look at weather you want to or decide not to. I look forward to new costumes. if you don't like em dont' wear em and don't download the catalog. Simple as that.

Side note when i lost all my points in ranked today after trying so hard this is how i felt

But i ran into a A ranker and got em all back so i felt like

I'm not frustrated with people buying sh*tty DLC, I'm frustrated with TN for making sh*tty DLC. If they need $$$ from female fighters and fetish DLC to bring in adequate income to keep 5U in production and are going to continue to use the "they sell best" excuse then I'd rather them just move on to 6 at this point...(after they put in all of the characters of course)

I wouldn't even mind skimpy dlc is if actually suited the characters more.

For example. Instead of generic bikini or succubus outfit for Helena, give her a classical see through toga and ornate white ring clasped underwear, like Sophitia, or Venusmon.

Yeah it would still be skimpy, but at least it would be something that suits her more.

Or like rachel. Her terrible Switchblade outfit. Shoulda had a bodysuit or changed her skin tone. Purple metal by itself looks terrible.

Made me chuckle. Best post by far though.

at least the hyper sexualized ducks would be something to laugh at.
ayane: spinning duck
kasumi: sakura petals duck
momiji: this duck is on fireeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
rachel: duck's gonna make sure you regret this
helena: elegant duck
christie: duck gonna assassinate you

*Ermhm* ...........Quack.
