The life bar colour is a little ugly, so I sent a message on twitter. Hopefully there are better colour hues than vomit green in their template.

Regarding the DOA1 stage, I hope they allow for etching in techable situations but cause a super launch on non techable ones. That would be sick.

So, as most people now have realized, DOA5LR so far looks (apart from some minor enhancements) basically the same on PS4.
I think, now is the time, to remind Team Ninja, to also touch up at least some of the ground textures in the game. I made a little collage of some the worst offenders:

I'm going to post this picture with following text on their Facebook wall:
"Dear Team Ninja,
Dead or Alive 5 is a beautiful game and it will be even more beautiful as DOA5 Last Round on the current generation consoles with all it's graphical enhancements. An enhancement, that many fans think, should be made most urgently, are the low resolution floor textures though. Pixelated textures like this should have already disappeared with the Playstation 2 and it would be almost a crime, if they were ported exactly like this to the PS4 and XBone. Please consider, to at least rework some of them. It would be of great benefit to the overall graphical image of the game."

If someone could also send them a tweet, this would be awesome :)

Now that you mention that, I'm going to post on their wall about the eye textures.
I remade a texture of the eyes for Koko and Eli, using the L4D eye textures. I'm going to suggest to them to maybe make the iris more realistic. The anime eye textures just bother me.
Here is my fixed eye texture:

I'm actually pretty disappointed you can just knock someone off and essentially remove the entire stages purpose, that said Bayman players will rule that stage MUHAHAHAHAHA

How about, we unite and address the most urgent enhancements first? ^__^° I think, it's counter productive, if now everyone suggest the most irrelevant of problems. The eyes are actually alright the way they are...

Don't get your hopes up, it's not like they're redoing the game on PS4. It's just a port of the arcade version... plus TN isn't really known for going the extra mile if you look at all the copy pasting in DOA5

The updated site does mention their new 'soft engine' but I don't really see a difference in anything. Maybe the boobs are a little bouncier or it could be OMG mode, I never use it so IDK (see end of this video)

Anyway I like the design of the new danger zone, it reminds me of when DOA had vibrant and cool designs. Kinda cool how it alternates between DZ floor and non DZ floor

Exactly, what I predicted, but people here were all like: "OMG, it will look so much better!!, trailer and pictures are not PS4!!, reworked character models!!, better textures!!,..." Nope, the enhancements, as we now see, will be only visible at a second glance, just like with all the other cross generation ports.
That "soft engine" though, seems to be some sort of soft glow of the skin. It's similar to what they had in DOA2U on Xbox. Not really a big fan of this, because it looks more unrealistic and plastic like to me.

That soft glow of DOA2U:

But if they are going to enhance the game with a softer skin glow and some nicer particle effects, why not rework these damn ugly floor textures. The game would overall look SO MUCH better. *sigh*

Not sure if I could share that kind of video considering how the end turned out.

Still, now we know which floors cause bounce and which don't. Seems like the super launch bounce is only cause post-KO.

To be honest, I don't usually play at Lost World due to its texture. Uggh
Team Ninja pls...

I just brought up that I thought it would be a good idea to fix the eye texture, since you brought up about the floor texture. I keep forgetting about it, which is why I brought up that I would address it. Kamson and I kept complaining to each other about it, so I thought it would be something to put on the wall. I'm not demanding it or anything; I'm just like, "Okay, just so I don't forget again." I'm surprised I have some time to remain active here. xD

I think what they found important was the mechanics and the aesthetics of the character models (even the beginning models, like Kokoro's schoolgirl outfit, look a little out-there, as opposed to the latest DLC, which looks twice as detailed. That is expected). Like, even in the wrestling stage or the stage for the tournament, the crowds literally have no 3-dimensional meshing. They look like holographic paper.
With the game, I just see the character models standing out and the stages looking terrible, while older DOA games actually had decent textures in the stages. I agree that they should at least be fixed.

The "Danger Zone" stage seems absolutely awesome and I love how it became multi tier.

It's also pretty interesting that the player passed from an arena with a cicumstanzial explosive ground to one with no explosive ground at all: this appear to be a nice tribute to the DoA1 customization stage, where it was possible to select as danger zone present on all the ground, normal or completely absent. So I'm pretty sure that falling will be possible to meet even a level with the ground completely explosive.

Apparently the chest of girls was made evidently more bigger and now resemble more their body in the past games (less DoAXBV).

A shame because I liked the more "realistic" body of the girls; more I believe that in this way was lost the detail give a more big or less appearence according to the tightness of the dress (a perverted detail I know XD, but it was nice to see this toque)

EDIT: I think to be wrong http://www.freestepdodge.com/threads/list-of-new-content.4831/page-26#post-214127

However it's not the only thing changed, the effects on the model seems completely another thing through this great use of textures and lighting (look the flower on Hitomi's shoe):

PS: I didn't get the pictures from the 1080p version of the videos.

Me too! I also have the Street stage and Home 1 stage eliminated from random selection due to their super ugly textures. I'd be glad, if anybody with Facebook or Twitter would support my request for better floor textures in at least some of the stages. So please like it, tweet it, re-tweet it.

Based on the video, they are :
- Danger Zone DOA1
- 4 other locked stages (Crimson being one of them, I guess)

That's great. What are the three unannounced stages ? Hehe. Great Opera, Aerial Gardens and Freedom Survivor, please.....

I hope the boob inhancement isn't for Marie Rose aswell.

Team Ninja by the way also really dislikes the ripping of their character models from the game and tampering with them, as they have stated lots of times...
