In GGXrd, the LAG is so noticeable in the intros at 30fps that it's ridiculous. But in DOA5LR, the scenes seemed to be running smoothly. Though I do agree that if the action is going to be in 60fps, then the entire game should be in 60fps. But does that mean it would make the game cost more? Just curious.I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm confident that if you were to see the game running in 30fps and 60fps side by side, you would notice the difference.
There should be no reason at all why that would be the case. With the power of the new generation of consoles (and PC, which likely will have framerate options anyway) it really should be quite straightforward to make these scenes run at 60 instead of 30. I have a friend who works in videogame graphics who tells me it's not something which should be very hard to do at all.Though I do agree that if the action is going to be in 60fps, then the entire game should be in 60fps. But does that mean it would make the game cost more? Just curious.
But the "sprites" in Xrd are actually 3D models that have been heavily modified to look like cell shaded 2D sprites on a 2D plane.plus, its not like a sprite based fighter where you would actually need to hand draw each individual frame.
This is true. But the "sprites" in Xrd are actually 3D models that have been heavily modified to look like cell shaded 2D sprites on a 2D plane.
I understand it may be their personal preference, but don't see why they can't give players the option since it would be so easy to implement now. From what I can tell...
It's TN's personal preference. They could have done this a WHILE ago, it costs no money, and if it did, it will be little cost.
Unfortunately, it does need a petition. :/ I have been badgering them via Twitter, Facebook and Youtube for months and been almost completely ignored. Every time someone signs this petition it should email them.I doubt this needs a petition though. Twitter does the job lol.
well then those aren't sprites, and not what I'm talking about lol.But the "sprites" in Xrd are actually 3D models that have been heavily modified to look like cell shaded 2D sprites on a 2D plane.
Oh. I didn't know you were talking about sprite based fighters in general. There are so few of them left. Lolwell then those aren't sprites, and not what I'm talking about lol.
ya no I meant actual sprites lol. Like KoF (I know those were painted over 3d models, but it was still making sprites frame by frame, i think).Oh. I didn't know you were talking about sprite based fighters in general. There are so few of them left. Lol
No, they aren't pre-rendered, they use the in-game engine. If they were pre-rendered you wouldn't have any camera control.Wait, they are pre-rendered in the cut scenes!? I always thought something was up, but could never tell for sure if they were or not.
In my opinion they do look fairly close to the in-game models. The arcade endings in DOA4... now those are pre-rendered cut scenes (that I wish would return).
You can definitely see over 1080p, you just cant see over 60fps. Our eyes can process up to 8k or 9k resolutions.Last Round will be released next month, It's basically finished, so any petition at this point won't bring anything. Also, where is the problem really? I will never understand the obsession with 1080p resolution or 60fps. The human eye can hardly even make it out.
The character intros, outros and lose poses are also not prerendered, as some in here suggested. If they were, you wouldn't be able to spin the camera around and zoom in or out to your hearts content.
Xrd's cutscenes are running at 24fps, so as to simulate how hand drawn animé looks. In GGXrd, the LAG is so noticeable in the intros at 30fps that it's ridiculous. But in DOA5LR, the scenes seemed to be running smoothly. Though I do agree that if the action is going to be in 60fps, then the entire game should be in 60fps.
