The original thought was that anytime your feet were not on the ground you couldn't counter. That was incorrect.

Bah, that sucks a bit. I'd have thought that if you were in trip stun, on your hands and knees (or tip toes, in the case of the animation), you wouldn't be able to counter anything next to just slow escaping.

That was the original implementation. Personally hope they change it back but seems unlikely.

I'm curious if the gut/crumple type stun is unholdable. You would think a stun animation where they lean over and are holding their stomach would be an unholdable short stun that you could possibly SE out of.

At E3 you could hold out of it.

Yeah since you can hold out of it, whats the point of it. I rather have it SE then you can counter out of it. I hope thats the case for sit down stuns at least.

You could SE out of sit down stuns in the E3 build. I'd assume it is still like that but personally I would prefer that you could not slow escape out of sit downs though.

Same but wouldnt it make CB less usefull then?

No it would make them more dangerous. As of E3 you could SE the sit down and block the CB. Removing the ability to SE out of a sit down makes that stun much more dangerous because it leads into an even more vicious follow up. I'm ok with it players being able to SE out of it but given that sit down attacks are generally slow and very unsafe I think the risk/reward would be better if you couldn't SE out of it.

I know it would make CB easier to achieve what i mean is wouldnt it just make sit downs at almost the same level at CB. So meaning you wouldnt need the CB as much, if sit downs arent SE.

I'm under the impression that CB means you are at max threshold so I would say no because it leads into the highest potential juggle damage or a free power blow, though I honestly think the biggest reason CB was implemented was to bring power blows into a more meaningful role. As they were in the alpha demo no would would ever use them outside of a casual match
