Last Round - First Impressions

I start to regret ordering Last Round on Amazon (for the 16 preorder bonus costumes), instead of preordering at my local game store (no preorder bonus), where I always get the games 1-5 days early. :( Also, it looks as if the ninjas are going to be free to everyone after all...
16? What's the Amazon pre order bonuses?

Do you see this people?

DO YOU SEE THIS?

And you guys assumed they didn't listen.
Really? Is this on PS4 version? On Xbox One trial version they are still 30.

If they really have made them 60 (on PS4?) then that is indeed awesome.

Win poses are now 60fps, at least on current gen. Haven't played much yet but I'll come back to this.
Yes please elaborate?

Wait, there's DOA1 music??!! I thought it was just Raidou's themes? You mean Tina's Jann Lee's and everyone else's is in it? Any of the other DOA1 versions in it besides Radiou's?
Also is there an option to toggle on and off voice chat which wasn't available in DOA5 Ultimate. I usually play online via takedowns.

Also on one of the streams ( I think it was Shacknews) I saw some of the music was Warriors Orochi themes remixes for the Ninja characters.5

I can't wait for this Tuesday, thank goodness it's President's Week. No school and i have no work Tuesday (unless they call me in). I promised myself I wouldn't buy a retail copy even if it releases early especially since the DOA5U update in order to transfer data releases Tuesday (Maybe monday night since it's done that before i think)

I kinda doubt, they did it just to please squarewindow's complaints (even though they were pretty tenacious). XD They made them 60 fps simply because they could now. The next gen consoles do apparently have the power, to render the victory/loser poses with improved antialiasing, depth of field in the backgrounds and now also a higher framerate.

I thought, CyberEvil had the Xbone version...?

By the way, someone posted these screenshots on Neogaf:

The IQ looks a lot better, even though there's still aliasing going on.

Someone feel free to prove me wrong but the intros and match end poses look 60fps to me now. Looks like it matches the normal gameplay in terms of animation and smoothness. I don't feel like hooking up my PVR 2 to fact check myself but it all looks quite good.

As for the netcode...I'm not so sure. Had a match with @Juan The Man who I have never lagged with before, at least not like this, and it was pretty bad. That said, I reconfigured my home network a bit ago and haven't DMZ'd my Xbox One yet. Doing that in a few minutes actually. We are still missing the day one patch that TN specifically stated was for online play, though, so that's a thing.

Yeah the netcode is terrible in my experience. I seem to remember a few patches for Ultimate being touted as fixing things, but they never turned out to actually do anything, so I'm not optimistic...

P-P-P-P-P-P-POWER!
Cyber you just teasing us?

Those intros look pretty 30 fps to me. (View on youtube itself to see without frames dropping)

My impressions:

- Enhanced graphics are definitely noticeable. The game runs very smoothly imo.
- Controller wise I like the analog stick better, especially for moves with half-circle or full-circle motions. Can't say the D-Pad is better though, but it's no problem for me as I only use the D-Pad for '44' and '66' inputs anyway.
- The online modes are still as laggy as in 5U. Although I have a feeling that the online update scheduled to release on Feb 17th will improve the connection.
- New effects on Critical Bursts and Danger Zones look awesome.
- Stage 'The Danger Zone' is pretty fun (and cheap ;p). I see a lot of combo potential there.
