Maybe the PS4 stage and graphical updates will come in a future patch when the online component is ready... hopefully.

The real question is when it'll be ready.

I'm actually good with this. Surprisingly we get the new hairstyles and I can play the extra stages on my PS4 (they're far from deal breakers and I only play DangerZone to troll). Truthfully the "soft engine" just looks like a fancy word for subsurface scattering. Can't do anything about the particle effect but they are only a small portion of the experience. All of the graphical shortfalls can be overcome with mods such as ENB, SweetFX, or ReShade. Visually, I expect the game will surpass the PS4/XB1 versions despite the specs as soon as the community dives into it. DX9 really helps that case as well.

Kinda wish I had a 4k monitor now

Why do dev's still use dx9? And minimum is an i7? Interesting, especially since its not going to have any of the new visuals from the ps4/x1 lol. And no online at launch. Game should be going for $30 and not $40 :p. Oh well, I'm sure modders wills be all over the game with nude mods. If I knew anything about hex editing I'd buy it just to turn it into 3.1 with some of the new features lol.

1) How many other stages have electricity floor zones?
2) Ain't Crimson one of beloved stages of series?

Me personally hate that shit :( Especially ENB. It's like plastic surgery or even worse.
I agree some of the preset ENB settings can be overkill, but if you know how to edit them yourself can make some really nice improvements without taking away from the original style. Anti aliasing is one of the greatest improvements that can be made. Even on the PS4 there is quite a bit of aliasing. As far as the stages, note that I also have the game on PS4 which is where I play it most, so I'm not missing out on anything personally. I'm sure others will have their own opinion.

Antialiasing, downsampling etc. are good, i'm against all that alienating filters and effects people keep inserting with ENB and ReShade

Not happy at all with no Danger Zone or Crimson(though far more Crimson than DZ) and no Soft Body Engine...but I can take having a minimum actually BE something I can somewhat play on my PC till I can build a better one and having the hairstyles and the PS4 select screen is plus enough to still pre-order.

Let alone the mod support I can actually see people replicating the stages and even the Soft Body Physics in time, let alone make fan-made costumes.

For those unaware of CPU & GPU performances, go to cpubenchmark.net
Compare your CPU Mark Rating with the minimum requirements. If it's above 5,488 you should be good to go. Just because your card isn't an i7 doesn't mean you'll run it fine. As for the GPU's, we'll have to wait for the official specs as that's a small sample size and doesn't even include Radeon graphics cards.

EDIT: Based on the tests, that's quite impressive that a GTS 250 can still run DOA5, I'm guessing the lowest settings will look like the PS3/360 or weaker while the recommended specs will look like next-gen or better.

I guess the animosity of making this exclusively a gimpy PS3/360 port had a lot of consumers worried.

Well what in the satanic fuck did they delay it for if they were just porting a kneecapped version of the game? Man am I glad I didn't preorder that nor did I buy it for PS4(corefighters FTW). I genuinely don't know whats worse: The Xbone glitches, the Europeans getting fucked or the stupid decisions on the PC release.

I feel like they took a massive shit on us.

The CPU's in the recommended specs are ancient so your up to date AMD/Intel should run it fine and the GPU requirements are kinda anemic but those recommended PC specs are still WAY more horsepower than the PS4 has so why aren't we getting the 2 new stages?

@Goarmagon is right, the CPU specs are actually something not excessive, everyone not owning a too much old PC should be able to make work the game without problems. Anyway I'm really deluded from the missing of the new stages, and overall I'm now asking myself if this means that the new DLC that will come in future (stages and characters + patches) will be excluded from the PC version too... They said that on steam there is no problem of storage (as for the old generation of console), but again they didn't release for it a full porting of the PS4/Xbox One version =(

If we complain enough to TN, they'll probably provide those two stages and the soft engine physics as free DLC.

I mean they should have just delayed it until it was on par with the consoles. Well now at least we know the memory excuse was bullshit.

So far, the Steam discussion forums are outraged. Hopefully the threat of cancelling pre-orders will wake up TN.
