DOA5LR Why Tryhard?

Why do people win by a low poke and think they're better? Why do they run afterwards claiming to be dominant? Im genuinely confused. If you're better why not fight again? Lol Honestly.

Because the online fighting game community allows you to get away with a lot more. When you're in a local and then win a match, you will be asked to play a set and if you decide to just play one match, then that looks way worse than if you win a match and then leave a lobby.

People can literally win by a poke and still say "LOL, you're not worth my time." then they leave. Or they will fight everyone else in the lobby until its my turn then they will leave with 1 second left on the countdown. Idgi.

Maybe it is for your sorry ass. Just move on, take the defeat and fight the next guy. Also there are tons of different reasons for an opponent to stop playing matches with you, not just "undeserved gloating" lmao.
Lol, honestly, leave.

I don't really understand what this thread is about. Why does it matter what moves they used to win the round? Isn't it the entire match that counts? And if you got hit by it, it's probably your own fault. You always have options to counter lows.

And do you just assume they think they're better after they win with a low poke or do these people tell you that? Even if they do, who are you to say they aren't better? It's not like you can tell who's better from just a few matches, especially online.

Even if this guy won and thinks he's better, why should he fight again? Maybe he doesn't want to play anymore, maybe he has to go somewhere, etc.

I could go on for a while.

Because people want to win. Doesn't matter if they win by a low strike, 12 frame throw or mid punch hold. A win is a win. Even if you are on the losing end, you will learn from it. Try to detect your opponent's habits. Next time you'll know that same opponent is probably going to try to KO you with a low strike at low health, so you'll be prepared. Also, since when is running after winning a round considered displaying dominance? I usually KBD after a round to keep my movement fresh so that I don't lose the feel for it. Usually when people do such things it's all in good fun. I've had a lot of people taunt or overkill me but when I spoke to them on the mic they were actually really chill people who just enjoyed playing the game. No hard feelings.

You don't have a right to trash talk when when you barely won. That's the issue. You're talking trash you can't back up.

Acting like a cunt makes people hate you essentially.

Don't get so worked up over online dude. Its not worth it at all and this is coming from a guy that ruined 2 rare-ish arcade sticks by Karate chopping them due to online rage

I know. Its just that simply getting a win doesn't say anything about skill level. You can just win by a fluke or matchup. Son how you play is more the judge.
