I've heard really bad things about squenix's "FFX-3" book..thing.. that was released after the HD remaster. Most people that read it were saying stuff like "I'll pretend I didn't read this."

EVERYONE ignores FFX-2.5

There is absolutely nothing that makes it even remotely worth it to declare it canon, let alone actually make sense within the universe.

In fact, I'll go one over and spoiler the whole damn thing because I fucking REFUSE to believe that it should ever be canon even within a metaphorical context:

1. Tidus and Yuna breaking up pretty much RUINS the entirety of X-2 as well as a big part of X, especially when the reason makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Their scenes together was some of the best in X and seeing them break up makes the whole thing superfluous.

2. Even though the characters themselves don't believe it, why haven't we seen more people claim to be related to famous Summoners and Guardians beforehand? Why is only one popping up for Auron now? You think this would be a thing for now to people to try and cash in on...

3. Because of how Tidus comes back, people believing hard enough makes things come back? INCLUDING SIN!?! Doesn't the damn writer realize the only reason they beaten Sin was because Jecht was holding it's true power back?! How in the fuck are they supposed to kill the damn thing without that influence? And even then, how many people thought of Sin at that exact time enough to bring him back?

And finally:

4. Why the hell did they kill Tidus off and make Yuna keep him as an Unsent? That's all levels of fucked up there.

I may not like FFX for gameplay reasons, but I do like the characters for most so this novella was just an insult to my intelligence when I heard about it right then and there.

Oh wow i havent noticed that one yet. Have to get my hands on this. The Story of FFX-2 was kinda exciting and very moving. The all female cast only consisting of like 3 chars however was a lame idea. I mainly bought it because i wanted to find out what happened to Tidus as much as Yuna probably did.

The title indicates a lack of creativity but to judge it i have to read it first.

So 20 levels in on FF14 and I'm just going to restart. my inventory is full of useless items in not sure if I should sell, I've been leveling up classes that aren't what I thought they were, I've spent an absurd amount of money because I've teleported so much trying to find level appropriate areas and buying materials for useless crafting items.

I just want to start over with the rouges and my buddy Jacke and go on swashbuckling sneaking ventures together. Then using my accumulated knowledge I'll decide where to go from there.

That said when the game is good it's great, just need to get a keypad accessory for my remote Ps4 and I'll lose myself to the world of MMOs.

well 7 had a darker tone too. Moogles appeared in minigames though but i admit i got myself playing that over and over. That Gold Saucer was little Las Vegas for me haha :D

Square Enix is asking on Twitter if the fans want Moogles to be part of FFXV:
Check out the link and you can also vote there:

OMG, the marketing team of this game! XDDD
That's a dumb question, they know the answer's gonna be an overwhelming yes. They're probably already in the game.
Wouldn't moogles be a bit out there f place in XVs darker tone?

I for one wouldn't be able to take it seriously
A lot of darker games have something silly in them. FFX was all about people dying and Lulu's attack animation was hilarious with cute "weapons."
