I'm kind of confused. Do you mean they will be riding a boat to places we haven't been shown before? I fought the continent was the area you'd get to explore in this game.

Edit: oh wait I just noticed you wrote Duscae and not Eos!

Right, from Duscae to the other regions they have to take a boat since Duscae is surrounded by water and the evil empire has probably blocked other routes.

Yeah I got mixed up there and thought there was like an entire other continent to explore or something crazy. I just hope there's lots of things to do. I'm sure there will be though because I still have so much to do in 13 and its possibly the most closed in game in the series.

Are you already on Grand Pulse by the way? o . O

Yeah and I've all ready completed all the lower level missions and got to the point where I can ride Chocobo! Its definitely the most fun area of the game so far. Its made me even more excited for how all of XV will be even more open and with more to do!

Grand Pulse was the only area in the whole game that was fun to me. :/ And it took about 20 hours to get there...

Grand Pulse is actually pretty similar to the Duscae valley. The wide plains of grass surrounded by mountains and inhabited by these giant..er...Adamantoises or what was their name? o . O

Even now it looks pretty:

But oh my God the framerate on Xbox360! It was just about 10-15 fps if I would guess. XD

I'll shoot myself if Raitoningu pops up somewhere in XV! XDDD

Seriously, it may take place in the same universe, but with the transformation from XIII Versus to XV more and more similarities were erased. There's probably not much left...just that Etro ist still a very important deity to the mythology of XV.

I know I'm double posting but I did actually see on some game forum people talking about a possible connection between the Final fantasy 13 games and final fantasy 15. Because its spoilers for lighting returns I'll put them in here.

At the end of lighting returns the world is destroyed and all of the human souls are transported to a completely new world that we get only a tiny glimpse of. The world looks very much like earth bout also like what we've seen in XV. So the theory is that a century or two after all that or more is when XV takes place in that new world.

Who knows if that is what the connection will be or if it really is just that there both about crystals. It's interesting regardless.

At the very end Lightning actually exits a train station in France ("gare" sign) in our world...

...where she, as we now know, signed a deal with Louis Vuitton!

Is that considered a spoiler? XD

Good for lighting getting in with Louis Vuitton!

I still think that's so crazy that they even did that. Crazy in a good way though. Do you have any idea how that all happened?

Nope, I don't! XD I find it a weird marketing decision... Why would you try to bring gamers through Lightning to Louis Vuitton? (@UpSideDownGRUNT, did you already buy a LV purse?) And regular customers of LV are not very likely animated to start playing Final Fantasy because of this... Maybe it was Square Enix that paid LV for that deal...like with Roen for XV. I have no idea... :/

Yeah it doesn't seem to make sense. And why lighting there isn't a new game with her coming out as the singular main character. Oh well its cool so I guess it doesn't really matter. I like it when fictional characters take up house in the real world like this.

Oh i'm so hyped for FFXV, at first i didn't want to try the game before its release but now i would like to play the Duscae demo so bad. Don't know if i should buy it or just wait for the free demo though.

the clothing company likely came to SE with the proposal. companies outside of gaming have this weird idea that putting anything in a game will make it popular. i was listening to some old podcast and heard about a chemical production company buying a developer so they could make games about their company.

The free demo that everyone will be able to get their hands on in spring/summer will be a different one from Episode Duscae. They stated it will also not be as extensive and more about battles than exploring and doing quests. So Duscae will probably be the superior experience. (I really loved it! And I still often mess around in it.) But as you said, you would have to buy FF Type 0 for that...and as far as I know codes for Episode Duscae were only included with the first day copies. I don't know what they cost right now and if there are still first day copies available . But it should be stated on the package if a demo code is inside. And within a year you will be able to play Duscae in the final game itself... :/

A different demo focused on the battle system sounds interesting, leave the exploring for the final game xD
Btw, i know someone who bought FF Type 0 HD for 20~ euros two weeks ago, it was a first day copy and came with the Duscae demo. If i manage to save up some money i'll try buying it next week, if not i'll just wait for the free one lol. Besides, i would like to play Type 0 HD too, i've already tried the psp version, but i didn't like that much.
