Has anyone put together an article on how horribly anti-consumer this game is?

Right now the dedicated fanbase is hyping the game and it obviously can't do any wrong but wait when the game ships and the first reviews come out from people that are not looking through rose tinted glasses. I'm pretty sure the game and it's business model will get some shit at least at that point.

There has been a lot of claims with zero evidence let alone an article. all they ever say is "you like it cause you're a Capcom fanboy"

If you think you can apply any logic to your claims go right ahead cause I've heard nothing but blind DLC hate so far.

Is it usually possible (in Street Fighter IV for example) to watch a computer vs computer match in Versus Mode too?
Yes it was in IV.

Because being able to get stuff without paying for it is so bad for the consumer.

And in any case, the trailer stated that the costumes are paid for with Fight Money, not Zenny, the latter being what you pay real money for.

Objectively I'm not sure how anyone can be hating on the game for the DLC model. There is planned DLC already in the works, yes. It's likely not going to be on-disc at least. More importantly, those that play the game enough can get the extra content without paying a dime. I'm really not seeing a problem here.

Well, they would be pointless if they didn't have invul and multi-hitting attacks beat them. IIRC, that's how these things have worked since the Alpha games.

Justin has described the game as being somewhat "turn based", as in after one players offense/pressure ends, they have to stop and play neutral, possibly giving the pressure to the other player. This is interesting in that the same description has also been used to describe Virtua Fighter, combined with more than a few VF inspired things in the interface, it makes me wonder if that series does have a big influence in this game.

All alternate colors for the unlockable/preorder costumes have been leaked (or officially revealed? Nuh, probabaly leaked! XD):

(The original color scheme is imho always by far the best.)

Also, If I remember correctly, @Argentus, you have often before complained how you don't like the choppy 2D animations and I never really understood what you meant. Today I had the idea to let some Youtube videos run at 0.25 speed (I've never tried this feature before and it's really cool!) and animations are actually super smooth with many little details that you would never even notice in real time. Probably one of the best animations in fighting games so far. The collision detection also works really well with hardly any clipping. Watch this video for example and turn the slow mo on under the little cog symbol:

I really don't see the problem. :/

This is interesting in that the same description has also been used to describe Virtua Fighter, combined with more than a few VF inspired things in the interface, it makes me wonder if that series does have a big influence in this game.
I remember Ono was interviewed about Virtua Fighter during the 20th Anniversary of that game. Let me pull up a couple of quotes:

On VF itself: "The way the game requires players to build on their attacks to create an offensive flow really shows how deep VF is. It’s no exaggeration to say that VF is the game by which all fighting games are measured. Quite often in Capcom titles you’ll see moves that can be cancelled into other moves or into combos. VF matches flow from attack into movement, and then movement to attack and it seemed to me that flow was at the root of VF."

On the comparisons between Street Fighter and Virtua Fighter: "Sometimes in Capcom games you can get away with button mashing, but in VF that will get you absolutely nowhere. You really have to look at how the game plays, and I used to spend night after night playing and analyzing the game."

On what he learned from VF so that he could use it for SF (possibly SF5): "I think the ability to read your opponent well really decides who wins or loses in fighting games. Actually, that applies not only to fighting games, but other competitive games such as card and board games too, come to think of it. I think the question of how much freedom players have to develop their own way of playing can affect a title’s lifespan as a competitive game.

On that point, VF’s diversity of how attacks flow from one move to another gives players a lot of freedom to play their characters with a great deal of individuality. The game also encourages players to make full use of its system, to enable them to become proficient at reading their opponents. These are all invaluable examples to follow and learn from. However, if we copied all that we’d lose the essence of what a Capcom game is, so we’ll just borrow all the good things (laughs). There’s certainly a lot to learn from VF!"

I would read more on this, @d3v. Here's the link: http://virtuafighter.com/threads/vf20th-anniversary-site-the-interviews.19637/

Remember the rumors of a Street Fighter 5 newcomer called "Zen" who eventually never came? Well, he really was planned for Street Fighter V but was at some point cut. Now this concept art of him was uncovered:

He was supposed to come from India.

A shame, he looked cool! :(

Thats Basically Rashid...If they dont make the character later After the games released this could be an Alternate costume for Rashid
