Honoka and p4 in general unnecessary lol. Honokas only reason for existence is "biggest boobs" and they didn't even bother designing a character beyond that. Just recycled maries face and raidous gimmick, copy pasting other moves on her, and stole hair and name from a popular anime.
And p4 is just kasumi with smoke instead of flowers
That's literally the same exact thing I've been saying.

I'm not familiar with the series (aside from it's existence) but from the little I am aware of, it would be interesting to see one of them in DOA.

Same. Ideally both for the tag team and rivalry.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Its the ideal option for a few reasons.
1) it let's them appease those who wanted Lu Bu in a similar method as Nyo, while still
2) letting them add more cute girls and thus more money
3). Lingqi adda a new archetype to the game, something which is sorely needed in this sea of cutesy moeblobs
4). Yinping is one of the most popular females in DW.
5) allows them to use moves inspired by both the girls and their fathers.
6) plenty of costume options, up to and including gendered versions of their fathers outfits
7) relatively easy to inspire unarmed move sets. Both father's use a lot of slams and grapples, yingping is a power character and linqui has a lot of flurry rush down with heavy grapples.
Kinda sorta? If you count Ultimate as dlc thenthe NG and VF characters were first

It was basically just a patch though so dlc like any other. Only new content was a couple characters and balance changes
I think Ultimate was actually meant to be a mega DLC pack kinda like how Super street fighter 4 was meant to, but they claimed it was too big for DLC, which is why they sold it as another money grab bag. They just kinda threw in Power launchers and tempting Pre order DLC to make the purchase a lot less painful. Mark my words, they would've sold Ultimate as DLC if they could.

Update =/= DLC
Both are totally different things for two different purposes.
Update relates to compatibility to keep your game up to the latest version as the developer intended and of course it is compulsory.
DLC is related to adding and/or unlocking additional content and it's optional.
Some people think they're the same because both requires download. From that understanding, that means patch is also DLC, which is completely wrong and dumb.

Let me rephrase.
Explain how the regular non optional dlc updates are different from an on disc update that is also available as a regular non optional dlc update.
Ultimate and Last Round were just cash grabs a la Street Fight when they could have just been a patch like any other. In fact last round WAS just a free patch for me.

-Characters got changed quite a bit, it was NOT "a couple of balance changes"
-ground game was changed & bounds were added
-PL's (meh)
-5 new characters
-new outfits for everyone with some old dlc included
-5 I think new stages
-team attack
-classic music
-tag with items
-character points & new ranks
Ultimate was a fantastic update and deserved a rerelease imo. Last Round, not so much. It was basically a "play this on next gen" rerelease where they figured they might as well add a few things.
