Come on, 8$ for an expansion like this is totally worth it, even 20$ would imho be. I think everyone in here would agree that you really get a lot for your money. I feel cheated all the time I buy DLC...but never with the Witcher stuff. Also the upcoming Blood and Wine is literally a full fledged 30+h AAA game for just 17$/€ if you preorder it. (I think after release it is going to cost 19.99) If you are on a low budget...you might want to buy Blood and Wine rather than Hearts of Stone, I guess. It's more than three times as big and adds this gorgeous new country...
It's $9, $10 orginally. I'm just saying if you're gonna have a sale make it more than $1 off. :/ I don't have $18 in my psn wallet and I'm not running out for a card so it'll be HoS rather than BaW

Did anyone else get the season pass?

I never get season passes because they feel like a complete rip-off to me...even though it often turns out to be much more expensive for me without them... >__<

Digitalfoundry looked at the technical side of Blood and Wine and attests it indeed a noticable graphical improvement over the base game. Most of all the LOD is much farther and there's less pop-ins of objects or textures. At the same time these improvements don't affect the framerate negatively but actually improve it because the way everything is rendered was completely reworked for Toussaint...and just Toussaint.

They had just a look at the PC version but they assume there will also be considerable improvements on consoles, exactly because they had most trouble with LOD, pop-ins and a stuttery framerate before and now it's easier to achieve a good framerate while rendering the world.

Oh god it just looks so bright and beautiful! :O

And yeah I typically don't like season passes but for Witcher 3 I knew I liked it so I went and bought it and I really love the dynamic ps4 theme it gives you.

Non-bullshots from guys already playing the PC version:

(That's your vineyard by the way.)

Looks gorgeous! That yellow filter over the ground though (to probably make the land appear more sun-drenched). I don't know... :/

I can already tell I'm going to be spending a majority of my time in Touissant now! I'm happy to see the whole world of the Witcher isn't as grim as it is in Velen etc.

Yeah, I already feel the same way. Good thing they provided us with a home in Toussaint...because this will definitely be my home from now on. XD
I always felt Kaer Morhen was my home...but it's also incredibly lonely and melancholic there. I can't bear more than half an hour there. >__<

Yeah it will be great to have like an official home to stay in, it would be amazing if Triss/Yen lived with you in it but lol I won't push it. Still I'm definitely making sure every little thing is discovered and uncovered because I'm already more interested in Touissant than I am with the Novigrad area. Probably because Velens pretty grim already but Touissant is still safe so it will feel better protecting it from becoming that.

I actually want to see the country the traders from heart of stone came from! I want to are some amazing fantasy Mecca or Jerusalem!

I've heard that they actually will at least visit you over the course of the story (but are leaving later?).

"Home Base:
• Geralt gets his own motherfucking vineyard.
• It’s called Corvo Bianco.
• You can renovate it with large sums of money, the option I saw was for 5000 Orens.
• You can add a greenhouse of sorts where you can grow herbs for all your witcher potion needs, an armourer’s table, a stable for Roach (with its own stat bonuses), upgrade your bed, renovated interior and exterior, secret lab, guest room.
• Guest room where old friends will come to stay. They said the names Triss and Yennefer, but were reluctant to reveal the names of anyone else who might visit.
• Scaffolding and workers will appear after you choose to build something. Each change takes a certain amount of in-game time to complete, but you can just meditate til everything’s done.
• Can display your armour, weapons, paintings and books.
• Some paintings can be bought, or specially made, others are obtained through quests."

The immediate surroundings of Novigrad and especially the area that comes with Hearts of Stone to the East of Novigrad is already pretty bright, tranquil and quite beautiful, don't you think? I thought the place where the big wedding happened was gorgeous.

Yeah, I wonder what this "Kovir" is like that they always mention in the game. Must be some beautiful and peaceful place. If they added a new expansion with a new country each year that would be amazing! They could totally do that...but apparently they have other plans. :(

Yeah actually the wedding area was quite tranquil now that you've reminded me. That's exciting that we'll have more closure on the characters like Tries and Yen. :)

I have to admit I'm actually really excited of them moving on because they're going on to most likely make Cyberpunk 2077 which I've been waiting for for years now! I do want to see more of the Witcher world though and if they went to Movie there is so many middle eastern legends they could use for the lore. I don't know how much its built upon in the books.

Edit: I just saw your edit with the more information and I'm just so excited for my own vineyard since I just know I'm going to spend ages on it! Its like Animal Crossing in the Witcher with all the home decorating and renovations. :)

Also I'm honestly quite obsessed with France so I'm just so happy with Touissant. The French inspired places are always the ones that interest me the most aesthetically.

By the way, why is it "wine" but then "vineyard" in English? XD

I'm interested in finding what this XP exploit is too, felt like it took a while just to get to level 2 lol. I got to level 2 in DA:I in like the first 10 minutes and that game has a level cap of like 27.

I actually seem to do quite well at leveling up, what level are you now?

Why do you want to level up so fast at this point? You are still pretty early in the game, right?
