I like being OP ):< I think I'm still level 2, haven't played it in like a few weeks lol

Go back in there lol.

But yeah, the XP glitch still works. There are two methods for early levels however one of them was severely nerfed I hear, (The Drowners XP trick.) there's a video for early levels (1-16) on killing drowners underwater with them constantly respawning. It is very tedious I hear so if you are actually going for this put some headphones on and play music while you are doing this. I never did this but I heard people from my friend list saying that it gets super boring quick. The nerf I hear was a XP reduction for killing the drowners down there so it takes a shit ton longer.

The most popular and literally the best one even (it's kinda boring too), is the Path of Warriors quest on Skellige. You probably won't be able to even go there until you are at least 15+. I did this right after I beat the game and I gotta say, I should of done this ages ago. You'll get 50XP (75XP if you get lucky with a stat bonus from a specific footwear gear, don't remember the name but you get bonus XP for completing a quest wearing them). The common XP is 50 so we'll go with 50. You get 50XP in literally less than 10-20 seconds every single time you run up a small hill and back down to talk to the guy.

I'm at Level 51 and used the XP glitch in path of warriors alot. Probably spent 2-3 hours just going back and forth between the stairs and that old man. If they're patching it I need to exploit it some more (left it unfinished for this reason), I'm with Tyaren on hating hard games XD, especially when they are long too. Didn't know about that money glitch, gonna try it to.

But you can set the game to easy and you won't have any problem whatsoever in the game without significantly outlevelling the enemies. XD I really wouldn't use that XP glitch. In the main quest line you are perfectly fine without it. Only that darned toad in Hearts of Stone expansion ever posed a real threat. If you at one point would like the game a bit more challenging because you come to enjoy it and the combat system you can't really undo it and you've ruined that playthrough. That's how I feel...
I've got 220k money now though, which probably makes me the richest Witcher in my game world. :D And when one of those dirty beggars in Novigrad is rude to me and calls me a freak or makes that spitting sound (that's the worst! D: ), I'm like: "Do you know who I am? I am fucking rich, bitch! I can buy your life!" Yeah, I really immerse myself in a game world. XD

By the way, according to players who already got Blood and Wine people in Toussaint are very fancy and posh. Even normal peasants, thieves and guards. When they insult you, they do it in rhyme.

I do have it on easy. The main reason I started doing the XP glitch was to be able to wear the mastercrafted armors (my Geralt is a bit on the vain side). Then got a little caught up in it :p Even with this I did die at the tongue of the toad once though... With this type of game that is super long and with so much content I really can't stand being stuck anywhere. I am just here for the sights :) I also do enjoy being a superpowered being with unbeatable strength.

I had it on Normal the first time playing the game, New Game+ I have it on Hard. You could beat the game without the XP glitch but the best time to do it (at least for me) is for missions such as Heart and Stone because the developers clearly believe I can gain 20 levels somehow to even do the quest and yet the entire game is finished with the standard/secondary/contract/treasure hunting quests. Killing monsters will take forever.

Changelog of the big upcoming Witcher 3 patch (for everyone):

Improvements

  • Adds book titled 'A Miraculous Guide to Gwent' which displays number of gwent cards missing from player's base-game collection and information on where to find them, thus facilitating completion of achievement titled Collect 'Em All. Tome in question can be obtained either from gwent playing scholar in Prologue or from merchant near St. Gregory's Bridge in Gildorf district of Novigrad.
  • Adds option to display herb names above available interactions.
  • Adds option in Options/Gameplay to enable enemy level upscaling. If foes are too easy to defeat due to level difference, upscaling will render them a challenge. Change will not affect experience point gain, loot, or quest rewards. Option can be enabled or disabled at any time, even during combat (however, Vitality/Essence of foes is then fully restored).
  • Adds option in Options/Gameplay to disable automatic drawing and sheathing of sword.
  • Increases incidence of, and thus chances of finding, several monster-based ingredients required for crafting high level alchemy formulae.
  • Improves Player Statistics panel, adding maneuverable Geralt model. Improves visuals in panel for better readability.
  • Adds new functionality to books and scrolls. When first collected, they can be read immediately using single button without need of navigating to Inventory panel. All found but not yet read books and scrolls are stored in Quest Items and Other categories. Once read, books and scrolls can be sold as their content is saved in Books section of Glossary.
  • Improves overall visuals in Character Development panel.
  • Improves Inventory whereby items are divided into additional subcategories within their grids: weapons and armor; oils, potions and bombs; quest items and others; food and equestrian gear; crafting and alchemy. Additionally, introduces redesign of tooltips enabling their resizing with single button. Also, item comparison is easier than ever given addition of summary of changes in stats.
  • Improves Inventory navigation when using gamepad. Slots are divided into sections and right stick can be used to jump between them.
  • Improves Crafting panel in merchant shops. Adds option to purchase missing diagram components directly from Crafting panel when talking to merchant, as well as clearer descriptions and option to resize item descriptions.
  • Introduces redesign of Repair panel in merchant shops. Adds single button enabling players to repair all equipped items.
  • Improves Remove Upgrade panel in merchant shops.
  • Improves Quick Access Menu whereby it can be accessed in one of two modes, with action either paused or slowed depending on button used.
  • Adds functionality whereby crossbow bolts can be switched via Quick Access Menu rather than being equipped from Inventory.
  • Adds counter for bombs and crossbow bolts to Quick Access Menu.
  • Improves region maps by adding pin filtering, more intuitive quest tracking, and a region overview for faster navigation.
  • Adds three new custom pins allowing players to mark areas for future reference.
  • Improves Adrenaline Bar which better displays number of stored Adrenaline Points and their status.
  • Improves display and behavior of Buffs, displayed in more intuitive manner showing time left, strength percentage, stacks, charges, or permanence where applicable. Buff icons now blink for approx. 10 seconds before expiration. For improved visibility, names and exact expiration times for all effects are only visible when Quick Access menu is active.
  • Changes icons for decoctions, rendering them recognizable at first glance.
  • Changes icons for oils, rendering them recognizable at first glance.
  • Changes gwent card icons in shops, rendering factions recognizable at first glance.
  • Changes icons for mutagens.
  • Adds feature whereby equipment exceeding player character level can be previewed on character.
  • Improves sorting in Journal whereby active quest tab is always open and tracked quest is at top of quest list.
  • Improves quest item visuals so that Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine quest items are now tagged with blue and red exclamation points, respectively.

-Gwent-
  • Quest titled Collect 'Em All is now marked as failed if player does not succeed in collecting Milva, Vampire Bruxa and Dandelion gwent cards during gwent tournament in quest titled A Matter of Life and Death.

-Visual-
  • Fixes PC-specific issue whereby there was no change in appearance between Nvidia Hairworks 3-day beard (stage 2) and full beard (stage 4).
  • Fixes issue whereby Geralt's clothing was not properly restored after sex scenes.
  • Fixes visual issue whereby guards holding torches would have inverse kinematics when animated.
  • Fixes PS4-specific visual issue whereby texture of water puddles would not fade properly.

-Gameplay-
  • Updates description of Superior Blizzard potion. Potion now slows time for a short period whenever an enemy is slain. Additionally, during this period actions do not deplete Stamina if 3 Adrenaline Points are available.
  • Fixes issue whereby indicator for Oil charges would appear incorrectly in New Game Plus mode.
  • Fixes issue whereby Flood of Anger skill could endlessly increase Sign intensity.
  • Fixes issue whereby Ciri could be missing her scabbard in certain situations.
  • Fixes issues whereby damage from Northern Wind bombs could be calculated incorrectly.
  • Fixes issue whereby pool of experience points would invert to negative value when player reached level 70 cap or used Potion of Clearance.
  • Fixes PC platform-specific issue whereby only the 'E' key would open Stash chest despite user manually changing relevant key binding

Patch is already out for Xbone. And preload of Blood and Wine is available for PS4. The expansion is about 12gb big.

Here are some PC screens by some lucky bast...gentlemen that already got a PC review copy:

I'm still a little bit worried about the console versions, which nobody has seen so far. Will the vistas in the far distance look nearly as good and will it still perfom smoothly? :/

Hopefully there's some confirmation soon if the exploits were actually patched out. If something doesn't affect multiplayer, it's something the average person won't find without looking it up, and it's long and tedious I don't see any point in removing it when someone can choose to use or not. Like when bioware took out every lootable amulet of power in DA:I just because you could get infinite ones if they were in a chest with something else.
I always love a cream-> yellow-> green-> turquoise gradient

Some people that already got the patch said that at least the money-making glitch is still in. :)
I was playing just a couple of minutes ago and for the very first time I too considered cheating for XP, lol. I got the awesome Viper armor but unfortunately I am one level short of being allowed to use it. I did a couple of old unfinished side quests but they didn't nearly bring in enough experience to level up and the monsters around also can't provide enough points. *sigh* I guess I have to wait until I get new quests in Toussaint then. :/

I always love a cream-> yellow-> green-> turquoise gradient

To be perfectly honest, I think Toussaint's colors almost border on the garish at times. I probably have to get used to it...or tone down the saturation of my TV. XD

If the PC version did not get the money/Path of Warriors XP glitch patched out, then the console versions by default shouldn't be patched out upcoming for those two. The money glitching isn't a problem, the XP one is not earned so it's reasonable to get it patched however it's their fault for creating a leveling system that is atrocious for grinding. Though I would be surprised if they didn't patch them.

-Fixes issue whereby Flood of Anger skill could endlessly increase Sign intensity.- I had a feeling they would touch this lol. I even had an intensity build for this...youch, it was reasonable. It was pretty overpowered. I agree with everything else especially the Oil charges appearing odd in NG+ and the level 70 problem when you respec to gain all your ability points back.

Alright, started preloading the expansion on PS4. :) At 1am CEST tonight it will be unlocked to be played. So hyped! :D Weird that the newest patch with another 2gb still isn't there on PS4. I hope this doesn't interfere with or delay anything? :/

Omg I didn't even realise it was tonight! XD I'm so Excited now to play it!

I too wouldn't realize much else, if I was playing with the lovely DOA girls from dusk till dawn like you do. (You must be really getting a lot out of that game. More than out of a mammoth RPG like the Witcher 3, lol.)

Man, that sucks! :( I will be vigorously playing it in your stead, my friend.

Alright, nearly everything has downloaded... It took a long time for the expansion and patch. x__X I heard the Xbone players are already able to play Blood and Wine. PS and PC users will have to wait a few more hours. I'll probably play through the whole night after it unlocks. XD

@Chapstick, apparently the UI has beeen greatly improved and is much easier to read. :)

It's because of the season pass. If you paid for it separately, like I did, it starts the download immediately after purchase. With the season pass you have to maybe manually start the download?

By the way...the new menu does lag a bit (no wonder, it is way fancier and elaborate). :/ When going to my incredients I counted the game loading 4 seconds before they were displayed...
